I read from flight international, they claimed the batch ordered this year will be MK3.Not much details were given, just an upgraded Mk2 with anti ship missles.Now under test flight with a radar can track 10 tagets & engage 4 simultaneolusly.For the Navy! I wonder does the Navy planes can carry the giant bunker buster(KAB1500Kr).Does anyone has that awesome buster bomb can post? Thanks!

China has long interested to build her cruise missle forces. Right now China has an experimental cruise missle ready to serves. There were land based and Air launched cruise missles prototype available. But China’s cruise missles were based on Russian designs instead of israeli, too small for China and due to the differentsystem,Delilah cannot be loading to Su30mkks,because they were different standard.Even using as a anti radiation was too small to destroy a radar compartment.Also China had bought the Harpy for such purpose.Me dont think China feel interest with the Deliah,I never read any informations in the Chinese media concering such Deliah look alike project. But I had seen photo about a Chinese Tu16(H6I) with four underwing pylons carrying four LACM and it was known to be TV guided 1500kg witha 500kg warhead.Chinese designation YJ63 and it was very resemblance to the Popeye 1.

The order to axe lavi 17 years ago was really disater really really a disaster!israel has the might to build planes just like sweden. But if israel does,it will turn all her arab neighbours ON and that wasnt US interest in those days that’s the major reason. You wont see US refuse to supply F404engines to swedish fighters because sweden is a neutral state. It’s politics!

If Lavi program wasnt being obstacled by politics, Lavi could be a formiddable airsuperiority fighters as well as Typhoon/ Rafael. Lavi was a very advance design in 1980s. I remembered the EFA was still a technological demonstrator first flew in 1986.But Lavi was already test flew in 1984. Probably the background of Lebanon crsis catalysted the project much ahead of other european rivals. And EFA was no where being a fighter in mid 1980s.Typhoon’s cooperation program was based on Tornado’s legend and it was the solidarity of Europeans except the French. If israel could get an engine like the F-100 class rather than PW1120. The LAVI could have the same formidable dogfighter as those F16s later blocks.Just like the Kfir was a very versatile plane than mirage V after it was powered by J79 jet. The difference between Lavi / J10 was the engine, China succeded to get the right engine to explore the potential of lavi. But that was politics issue.If Russia dont let go the AL31F engine to China, the J10 will be failed as well.So politics was a factor!

Why did the israel helicopter squadrons was manned by the IAF instead of the israeli army. Most countries like the US manned their attack helicopters by army.
The F15I was a dedicated long range bomber,now the 102 F16I fitted with coporate fuel tanks adapted, so it flew similar long range actions as the Raam. Does the IAF going to ‘surprise’iran as they did to iraq’s nuclear site in 1981 again? That will a very daring move.After Libya give up ,only iran is qualify to be….
Does the Syrian AF has Flanker to challenge IAF? They may have a few in their fleet.

Maybe the ppl viewed all twin engines aircrafts as the Sukhois.You see some ppl were so enthusisastic with the Sukhois but their lack of knowledges may mislead their claims.
The low level flying is so dangerous and it wasnt known much by the PLAAF.It was the Gulf war that triggered the PLAAF to rethink the purpose of airpower. Before then,PLA just know strafing rockets and carpet bombings those simple tactics. There was necessay to fly low attitude over terrians but many PGMs can reduce that to minimum.
Whether those Sukhois were over used, that wasnt appropiate because LIFT cannot simulate the real combat aircrafts, it can reduce human errors to minimum but not avoidable. And some error was caused by mechanical errors, that was the matter of manufacturing quality. But those exports’ quality were even better than Soviet-era. Bird strike happens around all airforces and the attrition rate of Sukhois was much lower than F-16s.Feel pity China loss some Sukhois, but hopefully they gained much knowledges from it. Since China is learning modern airpower in only ten years equivalent of the west in 30 years experiences. China didnt involved in any large conflicts( vietnam) with the use of heavy contributions’ airpower in the past 50 years was the cause of those attritions.

All the US made fighters customers wehther they were Nato or not Nato armed with sidewinders L/M/N/P or X (future) in this arena. None of those US plane customer countries can resist US pressure, ROKorea’s F15K deal was the example!French made planes customers armed with magic 2 and French made planes rarely can adopt non French made AAMs.
Russian made planes same as French can adopt Russian made AAMs like R73/74 only since their interface was totally different!
By the way, the russians never cooperate with any her clients who attempted to upgrade their planes with israel upgrade packages. The Mig21 Lancer program was an example.India bowed to the Russians uncompromising attitude to use their Mig21-93 program and right now,no Mil8/24 helos customers buy israel up grade packages,not because it was bad, it was because the Russians dont want to share their market with IAI/Elbit,just like US wont allow her clients to do the same way.
China was the only customer that acquiring Pythons with large quantities and the copyright to build in China.Maybe China has Python4 in small quantities in depot already.

Why USN/AF/Marines didnt introducing the pythons4/5,it was they lost the interest or israel dont wan to sell.The Python is a very powerful weapon. Or the AIM9X has better performance than Python. The dimension of Python is big cant install in Raptor’s weapon bays. By the way for Chinese pilots, the Python3 is a very useful AAM ever had. All the pilots praised it lethal! I dont know wehther China will introducing any Python4 even China introducing new AAM.That must be very similar to Python’s bulky body.

I know the MKk2 has some sort of AWACS&C4I capability,but that was a mini AWACS power. I want to know when will the PLA has her own AWACS. Because Jiang ZEmin was very furious about the Phalcon mess. And vowed to make a AWACS by China’s own. I have no idea. But that was mentioned by Kanwa and somw other chinese sources like http://www.zgjswx.com. If China can make her own AWACS thats really good, it should be a military miracle after J10!
