If that is the best the DPRK has to offer, then the South has nothing to worry about (really). Outdated MiG-23’s, F-6’s along with a handful of MiG-29’s and Su-25’s won’t be much of a match for the South Koreans, especially after they get the F-35 in a few years.
The skyshark seems like a redesign of the skyraider. Engine tech has progressed to the point where such a change might not be necessary. It “may” be possible to hang a modern turboprop on the front without having to redesign the fuselage and mess with a contra-rotating setup.
