Doesn’t seem like Boeing is close to an F/A-18 deal at all.

WOW!
Isn’t it kind of early to determine whether or not the F-35 will be a failure? It just entered service with the USMC and USAF and has yet to reach its full potential as a combat aircraft.
One thing I have read consistently about the Su-25 is how easy it is to maintain and keep in service. Presumably, that is why so many of the type are in service around the world.
Afghan Air Force G-222.

Can’t say that comes as a surprise. I’ll bet the whole deal was a scam to get some third party paid, no matter the cost to taxpayers.
Interesting, the arabic numerals on that KC-135.
Crickets… I just can’t get excited about drones even though they might be running the place one day.
I seriously doubt they’ll forward anything to Russia on the production of J-15’s. The best Russia could hope for is to be “honored” with further sales to the PLAAF/PLAN. During the Cold War in the 20th century, this would not have worked at all. Russia would have suspended all sales/support (if any) to China.
Oh, come now, that is not true. Let’s stick to aviation here.
Fair enough, but tis true.
I agree, there is nothing I can personally do about that, but it speaks to exactly who is in charge.
China holds a vast majority of the U.S.’s debt. If they really want to stir the soup, they could just start calling in the notes and deal a blow to the U.S. without ever firing a shot.
It is no big coincidence that the MiG-23 did not last long in service with many air arms. The aircraft it was supposed to replace often remained in service after the MiG-23. Only a few air arms fly the 23 now and probably not for very long.
From what I recall reading about USAF B-2 operations over the Balkans in the late 90’s, B-2’s will avoid flying through RADAR-covered areas, despite their anti-RADAR capability. It would be an incredible loss not to mention extremely embarrassing to find out the B-2 is able to be detected by PLAAF RADAR and dispatched. Sending stealth bombers over to probe the ADIZ seems like an aggressive act to me.
FWIW, A USAF pilot was quoted as saying that he hoped the USSR would widely produce and export the MiG-23. That being the case, there would be no need to fight, the MiG-23 pilots would kill themselves flying the Flogger. USAF/USN Red Eagle pilots hated flying the MiG-23. Some rotated out of the squadron because of their distaste for the MiG-23 and its derivatives. The MiG-21 was much more well-liked than its successor.
Concur. This is my favorite thread on the forum.
