I honestly think the USAF will opt for BAe Hawks over the M-346. I just can’t see that happening. I also wouldn’t be surprised if the USAF figured a way to wrench another decade out of the aged T-38’s.
Now the grey Mi-26 really does look like a whale. All they need to do is paint on a white bottom.
Debatable
Free world trade is a very good thing.
I have a feeling some folks would argue that point.
I like the trident on the tail section
Unfortunately my computer is assembled in China from components made in Malaysia, Thailand and Korea.
I guess one gets what they pay for. From a security standpoint, I would insist that sensitive components, or even the whole article be built in the U.S. This would make the cost go up, but it is worth it IMHO.
F-16V? Maybe they’ll be the launch customer.
Romanian Yak-23
Classic propaganda or even personal photo with pilot.
F-16s to Taiwan
Would something like this damage the aircraft? I reckon it would to some extent.
No Disrespect
More importantly….may he rest in peace.
Who cares if the jet was older? Show respect for the pilot.
No disrespect was meant. Get over yourself
A lot has changed since 1990. ;). But lets spare this thread.
Right. Back then it was East Germany, now it is the largest economy in Europe.
Sad news
That jet had to be up there in age.
Disagree
pleeeeeeeeease, Thunder’s UV band MAWS can find AIM-120Cs as easily as a hawk can find rabbits, then boom AIM-120Cs PD radars jammed 😀 Thunder is as much of an evolution of F-5 as F-22 is an evolution of F-4

Wow! The JF-17 will never see the F-22 coming. The only thing the F-22 has in common with the F-4 is that they both have wings, engines, stabilators and vstabs. That’s it. There is no evolution from one type to another.
JF-17 is far more advanced than any 1980s plane F-22 was designed to take on, but be my guest 😀 and don’t cry to mommy should it get locked on
I have a feeling, the 17 won’t know what hit it. Stealth, supercruise and more advanced avionics place the F-22 way above any potential threat. Should the F-22 get into a turning dogfight, there is the hyper-maneuverability to contend with.Let’s not forget these raptor pilots do train against the real thing. It happens out of the public eye to ensure that combat is not the first time an F-22 pilot is up against a MiG-29 or Su-27. I am not trying to sound like an F-22 fan-boy, but the capability is tough to deny.
