RE: Would you…….?
I agree….even the next flight of concorde…i would have flew it. I dont know why people think that Concord is unsafe know. They think its a jinx or something. In my openion a plane never gets old. It depends on the mentainence of the aircraft. Concord is as safe and good as any aircraft in the world.
RE: Ugliest Aircraft?
Know calling the Il-62 an ugly plane is absoultely not true. It looks beautiful. Only in looks and inside its a nightmare. Can u believe this an Il-62 of somewhere in Africa was taking pilgrims who were taking holy water frm some place. And thet were BOILING the water on gases in mid air….thats funny and extremly dangerous.
Ok the aircrafts wich i find not very attractive are A330,Tu-154,Saab 2000(looks like a fliying stick insect);), and the 757.
RE: Iberia
Hi Keltic,
Iberia is a very good airline but as i have heard its not in a very good shape. Iberia as in my opinion should make there routes more spread out. I have come to know that Iberia dosent have many flights to Asia and in Asia countries like India and China wich are a growing economy, they should have flights to these countries. Indians are big magretants to Europe and if Iberia comes to any of the growing economys and offers good rates…it will attract more and more people.
For example here in India we have poor connectians with Europe. I’ll tell you what airlines come…Air France,BA,SAS,SwissAir thats it. If Iberia comes that will be great for Iberia and India.
regards
Kabir
RE: Ugliest Aircraft?
Aircrafts are masterpieces of art and you cannot call any aircraft ugly. You may find some aircraft not good but calling an aircraft ugly is not a good idea.
RE: Boeing 777
The 777 had an option of folding wings but till know no one has it. It was supposed to be for smaller and cramped airports. I am not sure but i think…only think Cathay Pacific 777s a few of them have folding wings. Not sure
RE: A380
hmmmm…..the A380…i think A380 isint a very good name. But still i would like to own this baby;). Singapore Airlines will be the launch customer fr this bird.
RE: How is Turkish Airlines ?
Well…i have not travelled with THY but my brother has. He said he had a good experience with them. He said the aircrafts were well mentained and the crew was warm. But one thing he pointed out of THY is that the seats of the aircraft are not at all comfortable and when the aircraft is taxieng to the runway…it seems he is racing with his plane. They do it very fast. But in all it is a good airline.
RE: Canada to India….Direct
Also SAL(South African) flys Johanesburg-NewYork non-stop with a 747. I think this is the longest flight in the world. And SAS also flies copenhagen-Tokyo.
RE: Web
Hello,
this is a nice issue u have raised. Well I have booked my tickets online by SIA and didnt face any problems. What i feel personely these are very safe. And what i think that in the future most of the tickets will be issued via internet itself. In my opinion this is very safe.
RE: Canada to India….Direct
I think Grik has got some wrong information. The flight will fly over the north pole, then into Russia and then strait to India. And i was wrong about the A340s. A757 till Canada….that wont be nice. But u cant help..those r the only good range aircrafts they got.
RE: aeroplane smell
I dunno about other airlines but Air India and Indian Airlines stink in whatever plane of they fly. Sometime fuel..some time some other thing and yes B747 do smell sometimes.
RE: Virtual schools
Hi,
i dont have any specific sites but i know of one of it’s kind school in Australia which is supposed to be the best pilot training and aviation journalism facility in the world. If u mail me i will be able to help u more.
RE: Singaporean Jumbo crashes in Taiwan
Well!!!! as i have heard the runway the aircrfat took on was not actually a RUNWAY, it was getting rebuilt and the captian still took off from that runway. And as for the pilot, I have heard he is in Jail these days. Singapore is a very strict country and if they even have put the pilot behind bars, it’s no big deal.
RE: Singaporean Jumbo crashes in Taiwan
I know this crash was fatal but i think ur loosing up confidence on SQ TOOO SOON. 28 years one crash, not bad at all I think. U actually cant have a perfect airline. SQ is one of the best airlines of the world and U just CANT loose faith on them so fast. I mean, crashes keep happining and who is not afraid of them.
RE: Singaporean Jumbo crashes in Taiwan
It was horrible when I first heard this news. SIA has never had a crash in it’s 28 year old history. Only it’s subsidery Silk Air had a crash in Indonasia, it was a 737. The aircraft as I have heard crashed because the runway had just been fixed and they hadent removed the things which were used and the aircraft hit one of them and crcashed(just what I have heard lately). The aircraft which crashed was a 4 year old 747 Megatop and it was in a special colour scheme also. But i am sure still the SIA’a safety record will be excellent and they will be one of the top airlines of the world. But I am very sad of this crash:(:(
