    RE: air pockets

    Hi,
to be honest I am also very scared of airpockets. Once I was abord Indian Airlines A320 from Mumbai to Delhi and we hit a pocket and aircraft had a free fall and at that time I thought this is it. But it recovered after some time and made an emergency landing. It was horrifying.

I think many planes look good. In looks I like the VC 10, MD11, Il 62, A340, Tristar. In comforts I like the 777, A340, A330,ATR 72 and the captains seat in any aircraft:).

    RE: worst ever flight

Ok, so we are talking about the worst experience. Try to travell with Indian Airlines and Air India and u can get an experience of a life time. Once i was abord the AI B747-300 and the upper deck was filled with the smell of Indian food and short while after take of I heard an airhostess crying and I was for a momment like what had happened. One of the air hostess replied she is crying due to some family problems and I was likw what the hell is this most of the people were up from there sleep after they heard the crying. Than after some time for refreshments what in the hell we get, orange juice in tetra pack with straws and i was going mad at that time. Before landing when I was going to strap my belt on the belt broke and came out in my hand and I had to land without a safety belt. It was a terrible experience. Some times these kind of airlines go bonkers.

    RE: SAS fleet

Ok, it’s like this SAS know has a very old fleet and the B767 they have are giving them a lot of troubles. Many flights are getting delayed because of problems with the aging 767. They found the A330 and 340 reliable and good aircraftst and they like BA are taking there Airbus for trial first according to the Chairman of SAS here in India.

    RE: a3xx deemed failure?

As u have mentioned of the disembarkment, many of the airports are upgrading there facilities for this jumbo but many airports will face problems, and why we alsway think negetive about a crash, This will be a very safe aircrfrat and Airbus makes very safe aircraft.

Well, how about the talks on Concorde that will it continue or not or u can also write about the 3XX and how it is being developed. I think Comet also has given u a very good idea.

    RE: Airline Tail Designs

There is not a perticular favourite, but I like KLM, Singapore Airlines, Qantas(It’s fantastic), an Indian domestic carrier called Jet Airways, Lufthansa and of course I really like the tail designs of Frontier. I am sorry I think Korean Air dosent have a good one. I also hate the tail designs of SAS, Northwest, Finnair and many more

Somehow I dont like Northwest. There aircraft which comes here is an old DC-10 and they dont have very appealing service.

    RE: New to here

    Hello peter66,
Welcome aboared. Quantas was just having a look at the 3XX but I believe they were not very intersted in it. If they have made the choice of the 777 I think they have made the perfect choice. The 777 is one of the most modern and versattile aircraft flying today.

    cheers:-)

    RE: Is Concorde fit???

What Bennie says it’s ok, but I think B747 cannot be campared with the Concorde.Concorde is supersonic and aged. Even if it is aged, a aircraft can fly more but it all depends on the airlines management of the aircraft. The Concorde is perfect.
