Turkmenistan’s Su-25s in Russia some time ago:
Taken in March 2012 during overhaul at Kubinka.

One is TU-VRA, Mk87, former OJ4 of Botswana Defence Force
The other is TU-VRB, the former OJ5
That’s exactly what it is painted to represent. It was done for the 95th anniversary of 230 Squadron last year.

Could this be a former Czech or Slovak aircraft now in Ugandan service?
Nope, it will be ex N139BH, and before that German 28+11.

The Convair is L-13B 47-355/N2536B

I thought the PAF made/assembled their JF-17s locally?
They do indeed assemble them locally.
But that does not mean that they actually build them in Pakistan. The components could be shipped from China for assembly…..
One time WH540 real serial F-119
G-ANPK
What is your source for this being 119 please?
I have always thought it was 116 (indeed ex WH540), with 119 (or 709) being ex WH550

Can anyone identify the two aircraft parked at Entebbe airport in Uganda?
On the pic we can see all six Ugandan Su-30MK2s in two groups of three aircraft, four L-39s and three MiG-21s.
On top there is a storage area with another three MiG-21s and two MiG-23MS once donated by Libya. What I am unable to identify are two large fighters marked with blue arrow. They look like another Flankers which would mean Uganda has got another at least two aircraft beyond the first batch (AF011, AF015, AF019, AF023, AF027, AF031)…

No, they haven’t. That image is a composite of more than one date. Play around with the time-stamp and you will see what I mean. There are never more than six visible at any one time.

That’s what I finally concluded – Su-27UB – so not the Su-35’s.
I wonder if they are still there – or have been scrapped ??
They need one at Monino.
Ken
Ken,
The five Su-27Ms/Su-35s/whatever were all still at Kubinka at the start of the year.
There is no reason to believe they have been disposed of.

They don’t (yet) – photo at factory
Many years ago I was travelling through Colorado and found the Fred C Weissbrod ‘collection’ but it was really a number of scrapped aircraft. The place was secured and had fierce looking dogs protecting it so I couldn’t gain admission. What appeared to be the fuselage of a F7U- Cutlass was almost buried under parts of more common aircraft. Going on the internet I see there is now a proper collection of machines, but sadly the Cutlass is not among them.
The Cutlass was 128451.
It went to the USS Midway museum, and I believe it later went to the Vought Heritage Foundation at Grand Prairie TX for use in the restoration of 129565.

Hmm, my understanding is that it actually lives on a private strip at Rednal.
It certainly used to, I have seen it there myself.

The second one in Tatarstan is RF-21014:

Indeed, that is an AS365N2, c/n 6386. See:

F-RBAB is not a civil registration, it’s a military one.
All French military aircraft have one, but very few actually carry all of the letters (one exception is the Patrouille de France, which carry the full identity in small letters on the rear fuselage)
French Army helicopters carry the last three letters.
