    Spitfire today

A Spitfire Buzzed my house in Orpington at about midday today, it really rattled the rooftops, it was unbelievably low! Have to guess on it being TA805 The Kent Spit’ as it was headed straight for Biggin Hill!

    Hello
I a question how many seats does a Classic flight Dakota have ?
Do you have a window seat each ?

The DC3 seats 36, with I think 16 windows. Ive booked my flight, DC3 at Biggin Hill, cant wait!

In my opinion the Jaquard Spitfire PRXIX with shackleton contra rotating prop is perhaps one of the best looking Spits not because its pretty but because it looks a real beast. The best looking Spit in my opinion is the BBMF Mark II.

True! And only 2 weeks after it first flew again after a 3 year restoration to flight again because of a forced landing! Taken from Planetalk, sadly here it is.

Probably the same one I saw depart Biggin at about 18:50…?

    Can’t beat a wokka!

I saw the very same Chinook over Orpington and not only that but a Merlin and other helis near Fort Halstead today.
Yesterday at Duxford Stephen Grey displayed the Spitfire Mk XIV whilst Nick Grey flew the Corsair, both really spirited displays and the growl of that Griffon, cant beat it! Also to fly was Pete Kynsey in the Grace Spitfire, he was taking up passengers in Ml407 all after noon, probably at least 4 or 5 times. The Harvard and Hellcat were also out on the line but did not go up.

I was up at Stratford Upon Avon and got a bus to Charlcotte park a few weeks back. As you can imagine how suprised I was to see XM655 as we passed the airfield, I didnt even know she was based there. Having said that she looked immaculate really crisp and clean, its easy to see how much hard work must go into it.

    The Land Girls

I saw a film the other night called ‘The Land Girls’ and was suprised to see a sequence with a Daimler Benz engined BF109, does anyone know which one it was, perhaps Black 6? A lovely sounding aeroplane anyway!
