That Tigercat looks remarkably like the ex TFC one from Duxford, is it the same one?
Going back to the summer I just uploaded this wonderful display of ‘Janie’ and ‘BBD’ at the Headcorn Flying Proms. http://www.airshowbuzz.com/videos/view.php?v=b50c1668
Great video this from the Biggin Hill airshow DVD. It was a lovely display and when I get round to it Im going to post up my version of the very same display filmed in HD from a different perspective.
Was in hangar 2 on saturday pics on, http://www.duxford-update.info/
I saw ‘Little Demon’ in a photograph over on WIX forum in the summer and it was being restored in the same hanger as TFCs’ new P40b. The hangar is in Chino and would assume it is still being restored there.
Here is a video that I found of the very same P47 ‘Little Demon’ flying a good few years ago.

Hope this helps
Its gotta be the Vulcan, followed by,P40,FW190,109-red7,a second Lanc if it comes over & a safe, accident free season for all to enjoy-here’s to the 2008 season.:D
I completely agree thats everything I want to see, definitely the Canadian Lanc and also Operation Bolero completed.
Yes, I was there today and was just going up in the Dragon Rapide when PL344 took to the skies. I got to look directly down on the spit as she zoomed from underneath us, Perfect! Seeing a spit whilst in flight is really a quite unique experience.
Also the Dutch two seater MK IX did a short display earlier on in the day.
I Heard a merlin engine over Shoreham at about 1pm today and rushed out to see the ‘Kent Spitfire’ turning before cruising back in the direction of Biggin Hill. Nice to see it out and about though.
T-6 Harvard ‘Carly’ took off at Headcorn earlier, also Anna Walker giving passenger rides in a Tiger Moth.
I bought a copy of ‘Merlins Over Malta’ only last week, its a really quite touching DVD. Highly recommended.
Yeah I saw Neil Oliver I guessed it was him from the long hair. I think the pilot of ‘Ferocious Frankie’ may have been Nigel Lamb? It was the closest thing to a Ray Hanna display Ive seen yet, going so low and so fast, awesome!
Up at Duxford today
Three chipmunks carried out a display at about 12o clock ish and at about 4:30 Spitfire Ltds’ Buchon went up for about 10 mins. Also an Apache helicopter made a pass almost touching the ground and stopping near the control tower and bowed in the direction of the hangars, anyone know why? I was up there a couple of wednesdays ago and two Apaches came through then.
Does Rob ever land ‘Big Beautiful Doll’ at Headcorn Aerodromme at all do you know?
James
Ive seen it parked up there once earlier this year and of course the day of Headcorn Flying Proms.
Eric “Winkle” Brown : “Wings on my sleeve”. Strongly recommended:D He signed my book and I had a short chat with him:D
I completely agree an its an outstanding insight into test flying of a time when there were so many new powerful piston engined aircraft to be flown. I loved this book and recently bought the hardback. Unfortunately I missed him at Duxford signing earlier this year.
Another good book I just finished was “D-DAY Plus One” about a Typhoon pilot shot down and on the run in France.
Currently reading “Stapme” for the first time.
