Hello
Went to this Saturday on but no show on MH434.
Any body known why ?
The show was closed by the Kent Spitfire on Saturday.
MH434 had a new Merlin 66 engine fitted about a month ago, so I would guess its something to do with the engine. Even so TA805 put up a great display to finish. Ferocious Frankie did steal the show though I think.
I had no problems at all getting out at about 6:30. Excellent show, so Im going back up today as I dont live too far away.
3 single engined warbirds in vic formation passed over here heading north at midday, my missus got a good view from upstairs but wasn’t sure what they were.
Returning from the continent perhaps? There seem have been quite a few things rumbling about over the past few days, including what sounded like the Lanc yesterday.
Unfortunately, attractive though they are, the trees restrict my field of view.
This was HAC’s Spitfire MK V, Buchon and Carolyn Grace in Spit IX heading to Biggin Hill. Ive just got back from Biggin having spent the day watching the practice displays for the airshow.
Also displaying was the Lancaster, Hawker Hunter, Peter Monks Spitfire MKIX, Eurofighters x 2 Tornado x3… the list goes on. A great day and beautiful weather, hope it stays with us for the weekend!
Dakota just passed over with landing gear down heading into Biggin Hill. Not sure which Dak though.
Stephens’ TF-51 flying but not yet painted as ‘Miss Velma’.
Hawker Hunter Spotted
Spotted:Saw Hawker Hunter ‘Miss Demeanor’! She made a turn over Shoreham near Sevenoaks in Kent at 11 o clock this morning. Then passed over very low at high speed about 5 minutes later heading toward Biggin Hill.
Pics of Miss Velma taken from the same page.
Agreed, awesome videos! But not really new they have been up on the site for a while now.
Merlin engined Spitfire over Shoreham in Kent today.
Going back to the original question, turns out that it is the Buchon that will be displaying at Biggin Hill from Spitfire Ltd at Duxford.
