Can’t get an idea of scale but does that look suspiciously like an Hispano cannon in the church museum? Look like some remains of aluminium fairing towards the front…

It does a bit actually and the photograph beneath looks like it has skewered a tree!

I had seen this one on the web before but not too much information about any particular exhibits. I sent a mail and a letter but no reply. I had heard of some typhoon parts rumoured to be in a museum in the falaise area but never been able to confirm it.

thanks for the replies so far guys

I found this little Church/museum at Tilly Sur Seulles, when I was exploring in Bocage country around the falaise area. It was closed when I found it, its only open weekends, may contain aircraft parts, eye spy a prop in one of the photographs. Hope this helps, http://museetilly.free.fr/fsmuseetilly_fr.htm

G-FlIX was talking to Southend just before 6pm. Then via Wattisham, presumably back to Bentwaters. From Biggin Hill.
Maybe filming at Biggin Hill most of the day ?

Yes I saw it at 5:45 over Chelsfield! So that was ML407? Its was nice and loud Im sure the first one I saw today out of Biggin today was the Mk16 though because of the high tail.
A quick look at of photo of ML407 suggests it was probably this one earlier too and not the Mk16, they both have that high pointy tail .

the sound of a Merlin engine in the distance heading west of Southend, I may of head him call Biggin at 10.28 so a BHHT one maybe.

My god! The new Mk 16 Spitfire just buzzed my house over Orpington, so low I though I was on the tank bank at Duxford! This has to be what you heard earlier I heard it around 11 am too!:eagerness::eagerness::eagerness:

Spitfire heading east over Chelsfield near Orpington 13:17 today. No ID possibly blue.

I saw it over Green St Green, looked like Ta 805, but then I remembered the new Spitfire RW382. It did look pristine anyway.

At about 4pm today I was standing in Brick Lane, East London when I heard radial engines. Looking up in disbelief to see Plane Sailings Catalina, nice;)
http://forum.keypublishing.com/showthread.php?126123-Sweet-dreams-PBY5-Catalina, some good reading for now me thinks!

Mustang inbound Biggin Hill right now!!?? Merlin engine but distinct whistling sound not Spitfire. Any one see it?

Probably not a Mustang after all as The Biggin Hill Heritage hanger hurricane has just overflown my house heading into Biggin at 16:25

18:52 Spitfire and Hurricane over Yateley.

Watched BBMF Spit PRXIX and Hurri LF363 take off from Biggin early evening, looking and sounding perfect. So much power with that Griffon, awesome. Then saw them both circle on finals low level! Nice:D
The concert should be good tommorow!

Its a very glossy Spitfire. I love the second and third shots against the blue sky. I remember this Welsh spitfire at Duxford in about 2007/8 when it was flown by John Romain, is this the first time it has been back to Duxford since then?

Spotted L4H Cub 43-29854 out of Biggin Hill but over Lullingstone Castle in Kent at about 5PM Friday. Also a microlight cruising around low overhead at sunset at Lullingstone:cool:

What a weekend, words cant describe the emotions of Legends. Chabbert was a laugh as usual, ”and from the left err Majesty”,::highly_amused:
Highlights for me was the Avenger and the Red Bull Corsair, those radials, man! And having two Blue nose P-51s, ‘Moonbeam McSwine’ and ‘Princess Elizabeth’ together, real nice:D Cant believe its over already!

Sorry I can’t join the anti- Chabbert brigade – actually he’s part of Legends furniture!!;)

I do agree with you that it wouldn’t be Legends without Bernard Chabbert, sure he has been doing far too long to ditch him now. He does tell interesting stories, but you can’t deny over the years that he has talked at the most inappropriate times ( I cant remember how many times I’ve muttered ‘please shut up for this next bit’, usually mustang tailchase! My favourite part of the show!), I think he has been told about it though.
