I hope they leave that drivell filled comentator on the other side of the water,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Pleased about the mustangs:), seeing P Elizabeth again will be great! No Daimler Benz 109 again, I guess there never will be with a couple of Buchon on site. Also hoping they have ditched Bernard Chabbert this year.

I saw a Merlin at about 3-4000 foot between Abingdon and Oxford this morning and about lunch time, couldn’t tell if it was the same aircraft.

The Merlin I saw was at 9:30 to 9:45 this evening PM, occasionally there are Chinooks coming out of there at night as well.

And again tonight. I could get to enjoy working here.

Saw a Merlin Helicopter at tree top height about 9:30, out of fort Halstead (nr Chelsfield) I think. So low I could see the pilot!

Earlier this evening Rob Davies and his Mustang coming back to his strip.

Does Rob Davies own a Mustang again?I saw a photo of him at Headcorn in ‘Janie’ I think, but I thought it was Maurice Hammonds.

Well I hope its more interesting than they are in P-51’s!

I would prefer to see a tailchase in spits or P51’s than the usual Horsemen routine. I know its tight but its been done again and again, since 07 I think.

That replica really looks the part in that brace of spits! Particularly nice display at the end of the day by ‘The Kent Spitfire’ too

The Computer stuff in “Red Tails ” wasn’t too bad , in fact I quite enjoyed it . However I hope that the D. B. remake Lancs don’t look too “Super Mario Kart “

Your joking, I thought it was terrible.

I have accepted CGI is a necessity nowadays…but there is still a difference between good CGI and bad CGI. I reluctantly accept we will not see any aerial combat sequences in anything other than CGI.
Still, I hope they are able to have a good number of real planes at least on the ground, maybe taxiing and some nice gratuitous flybys. And considering the era we are in and there are not that many original or restored warbirds left…if an incorrect mark gets in there according to timeline, I would still be appreciative and not nit pick.

They cant do any worse than James Camerons’ ‘Red Tails’, have you seen the CGI in that, and footage stolen from ‘Memphis Belle’ I think. If they can get this series in line with the quality of Band Of Brothers and not Pacific I wont complain! Cant wait.

Oh, I saw these cockpits all wrapped up on the 2nd floor at IWM London on Saturday afternoon, didn’t know they were heading to DX though!
What I really miss at Duxford was the WW1 scene, I forget what aircraft it was. But there was a chap pumping up a tyre, with ‘Roses and blooming in Picardy’ playing in the background. A childhood memory that I remember so well.

Spotted this machine over London (Borough market infact) at I think about 1PM Saturday. Nice to see something a little historic over the capital!
