    Nice shots Jamie mate 🙂
Like the first ones of the GSM 737 especially – it’s always good to have some new angles etc. 😀

I *think* some travel agents (maybe only internal ones eg working for BA) are able to see the fare availability for a flight so it will show the different ticketing levels and then how many tickets in that bracket are left. That would then give an idea of how full the flight was.

An example could look something like this:
    A 0
    B 0
    C 31
    F 10
    J 5
    Y 1
    G 4
    A/C = 737-400 (100 Pax)

Do the maths and you’ll see that 49 seats have been sold and so 51 remain available.
I hope that kind of makes sense, as I said this 1/2 guesswork, no doubt someone can correct me :p

Nothing’s been confirmed on their being replaced with Airbus models, although it seems likely. The leases on some were extended not too long ago (on the -300 I think though not sure)

    Indeed I believe it is!

According to jethro’s they’re leasing a 767 out to Air India over the winter – what long-haul do the 767s operate, I thought they were both needed, or else a 737-800 was used 😮

There was a programme on BBC4 last night about ‘Suckling Airways’ (remember them?), now Scotairways and quite a few Air UK aircraft could be seen in the background. Stansted in 1991 was more like a local airfield with a very long runway. Suckling were based at the now executive/business aircraft part of the airport now opposite the main terminal. It had a small brick control tower and a few outbuildings.

Wasn’t most of that filmed at Cambridge?
