Blair with Ryanair π
He’s used them before, as stated. It was to Carcassonne in France for their summer holidays.
Redsquare – it’s all in the Ryanair book so no worries there π
Those new FR winglets look even better than the old (hardly:D) ones!!
Great shots
Top shots – looks like the weather was kind to you π
Just come out of Maitenance, and doing engine run-ups
So back in service then π
Interesting – like the Phuket Air incident in (was it?) Dubai last year when the passengers stood up and tried to stop the aircraft on takeoff.
Are you saying that you would use a larger, more congested airport that was an hours drive away, even if you had a local airport with a decent range of services? Tbh, I would prefer rather the second option, as it would be hell of alot less stressful!
No, my point was that for many people Manston is out of the way – there are few people that live near to it, whilst road and rail connections are poor. The simple fact is that it’s a local airport for few people.
If you consider that MSE is alot smaller than LGW, it would be quieter and less congested at check-in, and as there is relatively little traffic there at the moment, it would seem an ideal opportunity for the likes of EasyJet, Ryanair or Flybe to set up at least some small services…bearing in mind the whole ‘low-cost’ approch includes the use of secondary airports!
easyJet do not have that approach at all. Their business plan is about principally using, where possible, the main, business airports as destinations to suit business passengers travelling to the cities.
How many foreign airports do BAA own anyway? And what’s with that report few months ago that a Spanish firm was to take ownership of LHR?
I believe BAA own Turin and Budapest airports abroad, in addition of course to their UK portfolio.
Ferrovial, the Spanish consortium, has made several bids for BAA, both of which were rejected as undervaluing the company – BAA is strongly opposed to this takeover and has offered shareholders a large dividend if they reject it.
erm im from liverpool so this is how we talk god i wont ask anymore questions and if i do dont answer them
OK, so it was a little joke. See the sticky; I apologise if I caused any offence.
To answer the original question in a serious and thoughtful manner, Budapest airport is now owned by BAA.
There are two terminals – which both connect after security. Malev have almost exclusive use of Terminal B – and Terminal A is used by the locos and scheduled carrriers. The airport feels pretty standard European, although there is an interesting control tower left over from Communist rule. Longhaul flights are provided to New York, Toronto and Beijing by Malev’s 767-200s.
Budapest itself is a great city and Hungary is a great country. It’s maybe slightly too far for a day trip – but well worth a visit none the less. π
Really like that final shot with the Atlas Tail & MD11. The MD looks quite imposing head on :D:D
Wundervolle VorwΓ€hler!
Nice shots!
Fantastic photos – that evening light can look so beautiful sometimes π
PLease do….:D
Was ‘Viktoria’ leggy and blonde? If so I think it may have been the stunningly fit cabin crew member I once had on FR, sure she was called that!
This one was a brunette – not bad looking either though…. π
