Unfortunately, no indoor aircraft. The museum is kind of an afterthought. The airport side of the GLM plant is stil operational and is owned and operated by the Maryland Aviation Administration, so making money is the first priority. The factory is owned by Lockheed, Middle River Aircraft Systems, the Maryland Light Rail, and until recently the GSA. There is a nice well stocked small museum in the basement of Hangar 5 and it is a nice way to spend a morning. There are some really cool things stashed in the archive room. Seamaster Manuals, Original drawings for the XB-51, great stuff. The Hangars and Control Tower/Operations Building have changed very little since WW2 and are still used. Being from the Baltimore area and a Martin fan, I have this fantasy of finding a PBM or B26 in pieces in a garage or barn that some aircraft worker sneaked out one piece at a time. I also wonder if there may be some seaplane stuff in the rivers surrounding the plant? Unfortunately, I swim like a rock. Anyway, I’ll try to post more pictures. Take It Easy, or Any Way You Can.
