btw, it’s great ‘casue all these planes tat are landing pass just meters above your head at GVA, since there is a bike path and then a major road right at the end…

Crossair Saab2000 holding…note above the “air” the tail of a UAE 747 that’s been parked there for the past few days….also, a little to the left of the reg is a Saudi AF 737BBJ, one of many saudi planes visitng GVA this summer…

the main reason that they didnt contact any regional ATC is that none of the countries in the area have proper radar coverage of their land (a good example being Angola, which has been completely wrecked by decades of civil wars)…in other words, no other ATCs would’ve seen it….

dont some of the Arabic airlines still allow smoking in the cabin (i think Kuwait Airways is one of them, but not sure)

anyways…i already started my summer with Flybe
SOU-GVA was a BAe 146….will post a pic later….
then, later on, i shall be going to Venezuela, and that will most probably be
GVA-AMS 733/738
AMS-CCS MD11/747
and vice versa on the return flight….

well, hope u guys enjoy this one then…and to think that when i took this i few months ago, i thought it was a bit of a waste cause “concorde would be flying for a while longer”

yeah keltic, i know which one u mean…..avensa stewardesses were widely known in venezuela for taking their jobs of “taking care of customers” a little too far….

this might just be a coincidence, but Qatar Airways is supposed to start a new “VIP” style service with their BBJ and another “unspecified” a/c into GVA…..i hope this is it, cause if it is, then i’ll get us a few pics 🙂

i made that trip not too long ago…it wasnt bad…especially since i got upgraded to business cause the flight was overbooked….otherwise, it would have been a long long flight:)
