stunning shots.
the special Fifa Germany World Cup sticker seems to get around quite a lot. does it adorn the entire EK fleet?
wonderful shots. lucky so and so.
i hear that its rather cold in Colchester. 🙂
Im sure someone once told me FCA dont use thrust reverse unless they have to.
the image might show the engines at “idle thrust reverse” – what you may have been told is that they don’t go beyond idle thrust (i.e. “spool up”) reverse unless they have to – i.e. the reverses are activated, but the pilot does not advance the throttles any further
suprerb shots by the way
why are they being fitted? yes, i know why technically, but Ryanair? surely they must cost quite a lot to fit – O’leary spending more money than he need do??!!! shock horror!
i might be answering my own question now, but is it that operationally, they’ll reduce fuel burn and then in the long run save money?
Fsscreen is your answer – although it saves the images as bmp’s, there is a simple freeware program called irfanview which will batch convert the images to jpegs, with high quality as well. try and avoid using MS Paint as the program is well known for saving your images in shoddy quality. see if you have something like photoshop or paint shop as they save the images in better quality.
i believe that there are screenshot programs that will save the images as jpegs, but i don’t know at what level of quality.
with fsscreen, you just run the (VERY) small program in the background and when you want a shot just press the normal print screen button, and fsscreen will save the image into a folder (the folder that the fsscreen program is in).
to get it: http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=fsscreen.zip&CatID=root
hope that helps

If you don’t mind it seeming as though every other aircraft is a BA or BMI A320 short haul aircraft then Heathrow is a SUPERB place to visit. Ok, the BA A320s are good the first few times that you see them, but they get a bit monotonous after a while.
Walking through the maintenance area is also very interesting – you can get very close to parked up aircraft – it was actually one of the highlights for me when i went – never been so close to a 747 before.

Something slightly different from me, the awesome F14B Tomcat.
cheesy i know, but if you fly something like this aircraft, fly to the Top Gun theme tune. 😀 😉 😎
enjoy.
thanks 🙂

not sure about this one, i don’t think such an effect looks like this on the Tomcat, but hey
