wozza, i use a payware scenery add-on called FS Terrain, from justflight. this improves the mesh in flight sim (makes the hills more lifelike and turns what are hills in FS to what are mountains in real life). it adds accurate (to 76 metres) mesh data for Alaska, Europe and north America.
it is compatable with FS2002 and FS9.
i also use FS Global to provide accurate mesh data for the rest of the world. (within 60 degrees north (half of canada, russia and southern bits of norway, sweden, finland, and 60 degrees south (everything except antartica). actually, i only use FS terrain to cover Alaska, and FS global to cover everything else – FS global doesn’t cover Alaska)
FS Global is compatible with 2002, although u need a powerful computer, and one with a DVD player, becuase there is 12Gb of data with FS global – they put it on DVDs – imagine sticking all of that on CD’s. 😮
i also use updated cliff textures – cliffs.zip on avsim.
the aircraft model and the camp and settlement sceneries are from http://www.avsim.com/bfu/. most of them are FS02 compatible
thanks

parked up at the end of the day, will be leaving early the next morning to deliver some fish to Ketchikan airport which was picked up from one of the fishing camps, where it’ll then go to Anchorage

hi
great shots people
i tried something a bit different here, flying the Aero 680 as a ‘bush’ pilot around Alaska. amazing scenery – this sort of flying must be the best in real life – beautiful scenery, challenging approaches, no ATC to scream at u, no other traffic around – the sky to yourself. hhmmmm.
here’s a load of shots from one days operation, quite a few rotations and landings into isolated communities and camps.
weird image angles, crops and basic colour editing again. enjoy
parked up, ready for a good days operations. taking on two passengers, and cargo consisting of letters, two parcels, new tools, and quite a bit of food

off we go

the early morning, sun rising

approaching the first port of call

parked, and taking new passengers and some cargo

two angles of the same shot

at the second destination, offloading one passenger, taking on some more cargo

part two coming up

great shots. wish i could have been there.
how much of the runway did it use?
i saw it today, didn’t get any good photos though, although i did get ‘caught’ taking photos of it. I was cautioned by the police under the Stop and Search section of the Terrorism Act. yay!
how long is the aircraft at NEMA for?
that just takes the …
I was there all of yesterday freezing my toes off and the only activity was 2 A319s, two 737s, a couple of ERJs, a DHL 757 and a and a load of cessnas. 😡 😡 😡 😡
and then to find out that the An-225 is there today…. 😡 😡 😡
part deux
