SIGH. That makes 57 loco’s in Europe. are we ever going to see new airlines in Europe that aren’t low cost operations?

i think the livery is very Spanish. isn’t the red flag thing on the tail supposed to be red sheet that bull fighters wave infront of the bulls? – bull fighting is a traditional spanish sport.
i thing its quite smart.

Isn’t it because some or most of the teachers can’t get into school? without all the teachers – you can’t teach the pupils (most of whom are also not able to get into school).

rubbish livery, awful aircraft – look at those engines! yuk.

This is probably debatable, but a low cost airline is usually one that sells tickets on a seat basis only. The passenger usually shouldn’t expect to find ‘luxuries’ onboard such as meals included in the seat price (although you can buy food in the aircraft, usually a sandwich), or IFE. the airline may utilise ticketless sales and could sell seats on a one way ticket only – i.e. no return ticket. You don’t get the luxury of lounges, either.
They don’t have any of the ‘frills’, keeping operational costs down, and therefore they can provide you with a cheap seat. The ‘low cost’ airlines that have some of the frills always seem to fail.
And anyway, in somewhere like Europe, where the air journeys are relatively short, who needs the ‘frills’?

some where on the site it shows an airline called ‘Diet Air’ (flights within Thailand). apart from UA’s ‘Ted’, that must be the worst airline name ever! who is going to fly on it (?) – those on the Atkins?!?

some of us down in this corner of the country haven’t seen a single snow fall for this entire winter period. provided the snow and cold weather doesn’t destroy our transport infrastructure like it did last time (because the gritters didn’t get moving in time) we (or atleast I) will be pleased to see some snow. can’t wait.

However I think the latest Dash 8 offering looks too narrow, and, frankly, is one of the most hideous aircraft in current service!
How can u say that? i love the look of the Dash 8!!! it looks so cool!
i also quite like the Dornier 328, and jetstream 41. i don’t like any another regioanl props i.e. the fokkers – they’re ugly.
adam
excellent photos! i love the ERJs – they’re so cool!
