Any Soviet/Russian missile is hard to stop. There was a case in which a Drone, a converted Styx missile (P-15) sank a patrol boat “Musson” of the Russian Navy, after the missile was HIT by a SA-N-4 missile.
Their hardest-to-hit drone was the converted KSR-5 (Kingfish) missile, which was converted to fly low at a speed of about 300m/s, simulating a Harpoon. The RCS was reasonable supposed to be about the same.
P-35 (Bazalt) conversion was also used as a drone.

If you want the best and hardest to hit Anti-ship missile, my bets go to Granit. Titanium protection for vital parts (that’s to avoid these CIWS from taking it out), low flying with only one missile of the group flying high (in a certain mode that is), fast and heavily armed.

Didn’t the Klub have a range of only 200km?

hmm, doesn’t look like Amur much… As a modeller, I think it’s not a nice model either ๐Ÿ˜€ Maybe I can upgrade my Kilo model with such a section ๐Ÿ˜Ž

cool, started building in the beginning of the year, finishing 40-45% of the work in a couple of months and going to take another three years to do the remaining 15%. Nice ๐Ÿ˜€
What’s the problem with giving them of the old storage? You aren’t going to tell me they are ALL still in service would you? Or could it be a quite a lot downgraded version (which I of course believe it will be)?

Hmmm, ok then, I don’t understand a word of what you’re saying AGAIN… Yet I think you asked for some old crap of mine, I’ll get you some. Tomorrow…
I’m not at all annoyed by Chinese inventions, although if you are calling Ming a great achievement I’m not sure what a Zeven Provincien or a Burke Flight IIA would be called, not to name the Sea Wolf SSN…
But, as you asked, you’ll get some real old crap! And I don’t even have to pretend to be a spy, I can just walk into the yard and even the ships in there.
๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜ฎ ๐Ÿ˜ฎ This piece of **** just can beat the hell out of your Ming. (I didn’t take that picture though, it’s too old for that ๐Ÿ™‚ )

Velikiy is quite active, although not fully fitted with all her proposed weaponry. (still lacking eight eight-round Kinshal VLS). As for the others, Nakhimov is under repair (and the company has received enough funding for once), Ushakov will be scrapped soon and the remaining one is laid up I think. Might be repaired although I doubt that.

Hmm, the OSA-MA, it’s more or less comparable to Sea Sparrow and used on most of the Russian ships. The first Kirovs had it too. Same with about every smaller sized ship in their Navy. Nowadays Kinzhal is more popular, yet Tartarstan still has the OSA-MA, it consists of a retractable twin-armed launcher with 22 missiles stored below deck. It has to retract the twin-arms below deck to reload. Slava has two such systems, on both sides of the helo hangar. Otherwise she doesn’t have anything shorter ranged than this. NATO-designation is SA-N-4 Gecko.

Sorry, that’s the one I meant. Not too much difference, all old crap :diablo:
The National Geographic programs are good. I only watch the wreck divers and programs about animals. These are the good ones. I also watch “Friends” sometimes. Although I’ve seen the entire series on my last trip on the LPG-carrier.

Yes, but again, Viriginia has a VLS and SeaWolf (although they do carry more weapons, they can not use them in a fast way like Virginia) did not. Virginia is just a better weapon to go out and police the world. Doing one of those famous Land-attacks with Cruise-missiles. Not that it’s that important.

Anyway there seems to be something building at Dalian again…

    hmm, now there’s the part I didn’t get ๐Ÿ˜€
You are suggesting this is a Han right? Or are you just denying that? Anyway, CCTV could indeed mislead the public, every stupid tv-station does so. (I btw do not watch television anymore, only for movies during the weekend, and National Geographic).

Why do I NEVER understand anything of what you’re saying????
Well I got the point when I saw the pictures. It’s not impossible, we don’t get to see ANY screen or anything that could be classified. Last picture looks quite weird though, it looks like a Romeo… Judging from the inside, it also looks quite old and cramped (SSK-like). Of course Han is an OLD design too…

I see, then that would explain the low IQ of the average american population. In our country, you can ask anyone, they’ll all know the Americans and Brits were there. But again, unfortunately they always seem to forget the Russians (with 22million dead, the worst hit country). I suppose that was because it goes a bit further than our own country. The Russians weren’t here, yet they did distract and weaken Germany enough to make the landing possible.
Anyway, your post is not taken as an offense at all,and I’m glad you agree in some way with us.
As for the Normal things they make sound bad, a good example is the elections, just because Putin had so much support, they started yelling already about fraude and corruption and falseness. Typical, but I do believe he has such support (there aren’t too many alternatives anyway). Anyhow, why do they do that? Because Bush or Kerry doesn’t have such support, that doesn’t automatically mean that other countries can’t have this unity.

Anyway, for Blackcat, you don’t have to be that upset about this. Russian broadcasting studios are also very nationalistic and the Russian people themselves too. This nationalism is turning into Ultra-nationalism and racism in more and more cases, this is a great danger and fear of me, since it might cut them off of the rest of the world or at least make the ties worse.

About the subs, it’s always a pitty, but I’m glad the two other guys are in good condition. Fires onboard submarines are always a nasty thing to have, in a normal surface ship it’s bad enough. Now that third dimention must be horrible.

I’m sorry to say Phil, but the man’s right…
Of course I don’t see the point of noting this in this thread, but he’s quite right about the Kursk reporting. They always do that when something happens in Russia:
Something good happens: They stay all quiet about it
Something normal happens: They make it sound bad
Something bad happens: They declare it a disaster and start flaming at Russia
Finally, they have started changing a slight bit in the West. Although not much.

SeaWolves got thrown away, only three of them built, since they were useless to police the world. Carriers, sounds like a fine idea to take out a leader that you don’t want on that post…
F-22 and others indeed doesn’t really fit in, but of course their very decreased numbers are not caused by only reduction of funding. And an F-22 is as useless as a Corsair against a terrorist suicide-plane attack!
