I can see the photo when I click on the attachment…in the old forum the photo would just be displayed rather than clicking on it – if Webby can sort that out again would be handy…also newest posts first like before would be handy – no-one wants to click on a thread and be presented by the first post ever!

Yes IIRC the P-40 is a lash up- I don’t think RAFM needs two P-51Ds especially as neither is in RAF markings- I would use the sale of one to find a decent P40 … there is an argument that they don’t need two 109s or 190s but I’m not going there!

Looks like a jet engine combustion chamber – possibly RR Avon

Pilotstitch has a good point – as daft as it is – the ‘membership creditials’ of 15 years on the forum actually matter (don’t ask me why but they do to me!) for my pennorth one easy thing to improve the experience apart from tightening up the page so there is less wasted space is to have those posts that are new or with new replies in BOLD when you call up the site like it used to before – it makes things a lot clearer as to what you’ve seen and havent. All other fora do this and its basic stuff. The banner can be made smaller too and still include the same info.
If Webby can sort out access to ‘old’ accounts which were ported with the same login with no problems after the last platform move, that would be appreciated !

For my pennorth I cant sign in using my old username (to be fair the login was an old email address I can’t access any longer) but after 15 years I’d hoped I could retain my ‘credentials’ another way!.
I’m all for change but the new layout isnt conducive to a good ‘forum experience’. Sadly a lot of people have left because of it, and I wont be visiting much now, its too much of a PITA. You used to be able to see clearly any unread posts and go straight to the last entry.
If people are leaving and the traffic takes a nosedive maybe Key will listen – they could easily use the same format as Britmodeller which is clear and concise and easy to read.
So long folks, its been fun while it lasted.

45” diameter, 41 inches deep, mounting plate is 21 inches across tapering forwards. We have every reason to believe this is an original frame from a technical school. TT
