Whilst this picture was taken well after the Battle of Britain, the subject matter is definitely from the period and is of course the aircraft that happily still survives today at IWM Duxford. I obtained this picture some years back which depicts White 4 arriving in the USA (if my memory serves California) via Canada sometime in 1941.
Welcome back David

Apologies stand corrected, don’t know my Dovers from my Beachy Heads. Wouldn’t have been much good navigating one of those things would I ?

If you want to use a photograph, you could do no worse than use one of the pictures on page 39 of “Battle of Britain Pilot” the self portrait of an RAF fighter pilot and escaper – George Barclay, which depicts 3 Do 17s at zero feet approaching the White Cliffs of Dover. Geat shot.
Fantastic pics they really capture the right mood, very atmospheric.

Shouldn’t there be two crashing!!!!!
If you look at Mark12s pics earlier in the thread you can see it’s the same aircraft with the late G/K canopy.

Here’s a shot I took at Biggin around 1978/9 and an earlier shot which I found somewhere.
