The whole issue goes a bit further than if Saddam is a ditator or owns WMD. It´s a question of double standards, lack of real reasons, and the power of a country to put or remove regimes whenever they feel like. Dozens of UN resolutions not fullfied, dozens of rough regimes who own WMD, dozens who support international terrorism, but it doesn´t happen anything. Some are friendly dictators who are convinient for our interests. It´s a just a question of having preventive strikes without being attacked, and creating a precedent, who define who is a potential danger……the UN or other country?. That´s the whole issue, a world which feels unsafe and needs WMD, because the big guys own them too.

Aznar, as a deep disgrace and shame for Spain, will be sent to the dustbin of history (his party) as soon as elections be held. 85% says NO under any ciscunstance. We don´t have any gratitude to the US, they didn´t save us from Hitler and didn´t pay us any attention when living more than forty years in ditatorship. But the Spanish people, is absolutely upset with Aznar (he doesn´t care, since he´s leaving next term) is his cheap eurosceptism, in such a euro enthusizast country. There´s some hints:
-He´s supposely blackmailed by the US…..Ceuta and Melilla, the US contention of Morocco.
    -CIA, cooperation against ETA.
-Support for the location of the ultra modern cold nuclear reactor
-Entrace of Spain in the G8
These are some explanations, but I am affraid he´s so ignorant that prefers the usual sumiss and begging position of Spain to the US. Shameful. He talks in a very mesianic way, setting himself in the Olympus, and talking if he received holly relevelations of God and as White House puppet (he repeats the same stuff). The rest of the politicians, from Aznar party, keep quiet and adore his leader as in the Bulgarian comunist democracy. I really congratulate the labour party for being able to have such a lively debate in the party, not our dull officials, who are paid by the citizens to serve us, choose loyalty to their salaries instead to their compromise of a country which says…NO.

Could we, fearfull fliers, fly in a confident way?. Not at all. Big tragedy and really unexpected. Normally a plane doesn´t ditch due to an engine failure. Pilots should be trained to handly this situations which are recreated in simulators. Other causes may be involved. damage in control surfaces, hydraulics, pilot error….an so on.

Blackpool?. Is there any airport in there? I wonder if this destination provides regular passengers appart from summer tourists. Anyone from Blackpool?….do they mean Liverpool?. Probably is aimed to attrack passengers for the Liverpool-London route, cancelled some time ago.

Essentially, the main problem was due that the pilot misinterpreted the altitude data, and when he realized it was too late to abort the landing. So he landed in the middle of the runway, applied the brakes and went out with 208 passengers on board. They were really lucky….no casualties. The pilot put the electrical systems off before going out, and this avoided the fire on board. At the end there´s a ditch so the fall was quite dramatical. Other event was in 1957 when a Bristol 170 from Santiago crashed in Madrid-Airport when the plane couldn´t reach altitude after an engine failure. One of the persons who survived (because he missed the plane) was my father. 37 on board were killed, among them his two best friends who were going to a wedding as well. The wedding was canceled and my father could never overcome it.

Well Dear friend. Everything is possible in Iberia. From fantastic experiences to nightmares. I don´t know what are the procedures in this case. I´ll try to ask.
