    RE: Beauty contest shame

Don´t confuse Miss World, with Miss Universe. Two different things. I am surprised, there´s not controversy in your countries about this. It´s in Nigeria.

RE: And if you had to move?

As far as the place had human and confortable standards of living, the locations is unimportant. The most important thing to have is a friendly and peaceful enviroment, and being surounded by friendship and love. Having these things, I would be happy living in the UK or Germany (in fact I lived in these two places) and Italy or France. I wouldn´t mind living in other european country.

    RE: Iberia: Faulty maintenance?

Great pic Kabir. As Iberia went private, we “do” expected that pilots bahaved in a rational way because their salaries depended on figures, and that politicians kept their finger off the management. But it seems that things haven´t changed much. No many competence within the country, and Iberia monopollizing everything. While most european airlines lose money, Iberia has huge profits. I include pic, of a nice A320 in MAD

Thanks guys. The botton photo is a detail of the entrace lobby. COte Azur is very scenic and posh. Full of tradicional villages, smart villas and a fantastic light. The whole coast is a succesion of villages and bays.

It was just great. Malta, Sicily, Rome, Florence and Cote Azur. You would be surprised how cheap are the cruises getting. People tend to think they are expensive and travelling on low season one could get nice reductions. This was a premium ship, built for wealthy americans and the company went out of business due to the 11 sept and the ship was rent by a spanish cruise line for middle class Spaniards. In any case, smart at good prices.

    RE: Madrid

Not really nice for spotting. The best place is the viewing terrace at T2 which gives you direct views to the runways and platforms. And in case you got a car take the motorway to Alcala de Henares and at Coslada get out and try to get a perimetral road. In any case it´s hard to get over there, since there are lots of controls.

    RE: 717

Aebael is in fact the cheap version of Spanair. It was meant to be a regional airline of Spanair, but soon it was proved that the B717 was too big for most Spanish routes. The wanted to compete the AEA ATP in the inter Balearic islands with a high density service between Ibiza, Palma and Mahon. Prices were really low and they remark (with a loathsome marketing campaign and playing with the public irrational fears) “fly only fly jets”. At the end the results were really dissapointing and the Aebael doesn´t have much sense nowadays. But it seems that the Boeing condition given to Spain were really profiatable and it´s being a nice way for Spanair to swift non profitable flights to this low cost version. With SAS intentions to turn Spanair into a low cost, the position of Aebael is quite delicate. Flying Aebal B717 is a torture. Too many seats.
