Very nice yanshuf!
Thanks, Alex
I believe I once heard that the Kfir CE (2000) was proposed to Brazil as an interim fighter until the F-X.
Anybody knows what happened with that?
Erez,
What happened is that next Brazil elected a leftist president.
And the newly elected prez decided that famine was a higher priority than fighters, for Brazil’s immediate future. So he cancelled the deal right away, and many months later they are still only talking about what could be the next plane, with no immediate propects of implementation AFAICS. Sukhoi being in the lead, too.
As much as I hate the cancellation, I have a hard time disagreeing with senhor Lolobrigida about the priorities for his country.
Shabat Shalom
Let’s keep this thread alive. It rocks.
A C-130 from the Sultanate of Mascat-&-Oman.
Visiting Marseilles in France last week. (NMP)
A kfir during war action: being loaded with ordnance for the PLO/Syrian alliance during op shalom hagalil back in 1982.
Any other pics of kfirs in action?
I believe the picture with the watermark is actually from http://www.iafe.net
You are right. I must be geting old.
He watermarks all of his pictures, and quite franky, rightfully, as he got some pictures that belongs to his private and rare collection.
Indeed. What irked me is the absolute wrong and tasteless place where he did for that one pic. Blech.
For all the people who discuss about the airframe stress, keep in mind that the main point of the kfir development was its much higher ordnance payload. That takes a toll on the airframe.
Do you have any other pics of the Kfir C10? ๐ฎ
You mean in IAF markings? Not many, unfortunately.
See the attached one, that some silly site disfigured with their watermark before going out of business.
(IIRC, ioio.net was some brazilian outfit, interested in the kfir when it was Brazil’s net thing, before they elected Lolobrigida as pdt who killed the deal)
I am not surprised that there aren’t many pics, since AFAIK it did not really serve with the IAF, rather was a demonstrator for IAI to export.
Has anyone ever heard of a variant of the Kfir called the C10? Not sure if it was ever produced
It has been produced. (Upgrade or earlier models, not new planes)
Is there a image of a Israelรญ plane shoot down in 1973?
Here is the wreck of an A-4 Skyhawk in Ismailia, on the African side of the canal.
I don’t know for sure what brought down this particular plane, but at that stage of the war it was most likely a ZSU-23-4 Shilka.
Wow.
Rare indeed. Thanks for sharing.
Somebody needs to get the pics and video of the super STOL Herc they planned to use for rescuing the American hostages in Iran
You mean the YMC-130H.
My favorite C-130
Guys, this thread rocks!
My personal favorite C-130 of all times is
… Karnaf 420 landing at LLBG on 1976-07-04, back from Entebbe,
with the tsanhanim and the hostages they freed.

The person missing in the picture is Yoni Netanyahu.
are there any pictures of libyan hinds?
Yes. This great army managed to have one captured by the Chadians.
Libyan armed “forces” …
“you mean Israelis can be shot down ? I never knew this !.”
It is possible just I don’t have to much faith in a MiG-29 or MiG-23 taking one down while in an F-15.
Whereas the other way around works pretty well, LOL ๐ ๐ ๐
Great pics, Maroc.
Is that a Nord 2501 Noratlas in the background?
I dont think its gone unoticed by the Arabs, hence Saudi support for Pakistans military….
You have got this backwards.
The Arabs and Pakistanis have been helping each other forever.
Remember the PakAF pilots serving in Arab AFs as far back as 1967.
