    Man, you’re a looney.
But I fear you’re not mature anough to speak about that.
I can add that I fear you don’t know what you’re talking about too :d
So, you definitively don’t know what you’re talking about

A really interesting way to argue. Especially when you support your views with no facts.

That is good enough to confirm that discussion with you is a waste of time.
    Goodbye.

I know the IDF/AF isn’t a small a/f nor is it a hidden one, but does any one have any clear good sized pics of their CM-170’s Especially those used by the pink flamingos?

Here is a pic of an IAF magister.

    Because of the betrayals maybe…
Seing the Israeli-improved Mirage Vs delivered to Libya and Egypt to attack Israel in 73 may make more than the Israelis think twice before befriending such an “ally”. Just maybe.

As I said, that was apretty special moment in recent French history.

I don’t know how or why betraying Israel and selling its combat experience to Arabs was special in French history.
Do you mean that the Arabs’ check was specially large, or something? :p

Could you give me several equivalent cases ?

I believe the Argentinians have something to say about how the French planes trained the British fleet in 1982. I also know –as you certainly do– what happened to the poor Algerians who had chosen to help the French and served with the French army. They were betrayed point-blank in 1962, and given to the FLN to be mass slaughtered. Don’t remember that?

Sorry if that your country had to sustain that.

It is nice to see some citizens disapprove. It would be nicer to see the government acknowledge officially. And apologize.

ON THE OTHER HAND, Mr Dassault (a jew), give to the mossad all blueprints needed by Israel, so, please, be more modest.

I do not see how an individual’s support for Israel would somehow mitigate the great treason of the government. Several individual Frenchmen were disgusted enough with their government’s betrayal to disobey their orders and help Israel: the Cherbourg missile boats story, and plenty others. However those individuals acts do not exonerate the government from its responsibility: treason of the worst kind.

You know, one strange thing with the first flavor of the fifth french republic is that political parties couldn’t get enough funds to live more than severl years and all parties had to use “illegal” means.

Yes, of course. Most democracies have this problem. Even Israel has its own corruption issues. But so far only France has been stupid enough to sell a proliferating nuke factory to Saddam.

And even within France, only Jacques Chirac has been stupid and amoral enough. After the IAF destroyed Osirak in 1981, Mitterand refused to sell a replacement proliferating reactor. Only non-proliferating ones (and Saddam wasn’t interested of course).

Even most Arab countries seem to have realized that this “ally” is of little value. How many M2000 or Rafale are they buying, lately?

Are you trolling or is it that you know so few in politics ?

    I am definitely not trolling.
I’m saying that the French sales of airplanes are way down, and personally I link it to the ill-advised behavior of French governments. And to the fact that alternative suppliers now exist.

Anyway, all this question of French planes export is likely a moot point. The Rafale does not sell. It will prolly be the last fighter by Dassault. I don’t see the French financing development of any new fighters independently.
    End of the story.

there is no Big Israel from the Efrathus to the Nile right???

You should try to grow up and live in this reality, once in a while.
    You’d look less silly.

Again, don’t project your own ways onto others: Israel does not have the goal of wiping the Arab nation off the face of the Earth in its agenda. It is only your side who has this kind of dreams.

your falks kill mine EVERY SINGLE DAY 😡 .

Really? The news seem to say that it is rather your terrorists killing Jewish civilians every single day. And that IDF soldiers shoot primarily in self defense. But your problem dealing with reality is bad as ever, eh?

    we ARE enemies remeber

Nope. I am not the enemy of anyone here. You, you have a problem with many people. But that’s only your problem, my friend. :p

Oh BTW: if your country had focused more on developing what’s positive for its people, rather than festering in old war grudges, they’d be a developed country by now, instead of a backward micro-power.
No need to take this route for your own self.

back to French equipment, I don’t see why are so many people anti French over here?

    Because of the betrayals maybe…
Seing the Israeli-improved Mirage Vs delivered to Libya and Egypt to attack Israel in 73 may make more than the Israelis think twice before befriending such an “ally”. Just maybe.
Now on the other hand, those countries which have enough oil, for long enough, can hope to keep Chirac bribed as long as they need him. But just maybe.

the best policy EVER is to do what the UAE is doing, buy from so many sources your millitary won’t be ever handicapped by embargoes.

That is indeed a possible way to deal with traitorous suppliers. But it’s too expensive for most countries except the oil fiefdoms. Other countries might question the value of including such a supplier when there are already plenty to choose from: US, UK, Sweden, Israel, SoAf, Russia, Ukraine, China, Pakistan, India, Brazil, and more.
Even most Arab countries seem to have realized that this “ally” is of little value. How many M2000 or Rafale are they buying, lately?

    Salaam Kfadrat,

Israel has 200+ nukes and is threatening the lives of 1500+ million Moslems and billions of other inhabitors of teh world.

Nobody minds that you be scared 😀 , but you’re letting your fear take over your head: this threat is only in your imagination. Israel has never threatened any country with a nuclear attack.
Oh, and don’t project your own ways onto others: Israel does not have the goal of wiping the Arab nation off the face of the Earth in its agenda.

Think about this: assuming that your scare was true and Israel had a stockpile of nuclear weapons since 30 years, it would first show that Israel is mature enough to not use them foolishly. :p
Which is more than can be said of its neighbours, who have used bombers and chemicals against even their OWN populations.

If Saddam had gotten his hands on nukes, how long would it have taken before he started using them? Take your guess. And take also your guess which fellow Muslim brothers would be next on his list of recipients… :p

but we of course should remember that being an Israeli and a member of the chosen people, you have the right to do/have what other don’t.

Do you absolutely need to show yourself at this level of primitiveness ? Is this kind of racist slur adding any value to the forum?
Hopefuly you can be smarter than just spewing raw hatred. If you stopped, you’d not only do a favour to the whole forum, but foremost to yourself. Pretty sure that you deserve it.

    Salaam, habibi. 🙂

IMO the real problem with buying weapons from France is the risk of betrayal. Everyone should remember what happened to Israel.

Not only the embargo, but also the next generation Mirage (the V), built to Israeli specs based on the IAF’s combat experience, –sold to Arab front-line states.
The IAF had to face them, complete with combat-experience-born improvements, participating in the onslaught onto Israel in October ’73 (the yom kippour war for younger types).

Can betrayals get much worse than this?

And it could be argued that the risk today is _way_ worse. One should not forget that the president of France is now this Jacques Chirac, ie the man who made the decision to sell the A-bomb factory to Iraq to get bribes to finance his party. Without the IAF’s raid in June 1981, there would have been a problem.

IMO as a punishment this Chirac should see 3/4 of his family killed in front of eyes in a nuclear blast, and then be forced to watch the rest die slowly of irradiation. That would fit his crime.

    But hey, maybe I’m bitter…

the “catamaran” style mother ship that carries the spaceship slung underneath. The design concepts are similar, indeed.

Overscan, a very special thank you for this post. Somebody like you should put together a “what if” site for Russian designs, kind of like Luft46 but not tied to a specific year.

Second that. Great pics. And they would make a nice reference site.

Doesn’t this design look remarkably similar to Rutan’s SpaceShipOne, which flew Monday?

For some values of “similar”, probably. 😀

Mate IIRC the reason for the different paint jobs on the FAM’s three Arava’s is because the two camo ones are used for everyday troop transport and military stuff, the Olive drab one is more of a special transport one used for moving government officials around the country!

    makes sense.
    Thanks

Thanks for the Arava pics. This is a great little plane that is not known enough.

Here’s a pic of an FAM Arava armed with Rockets

I take it that FAM mean fuerza aerea mexicana?

BTW, here is the full complement of all 3 Mexican Arava planes.
Somehow two are camo’d and one is drab overall. Anyone knows if this is because of different roles, or just organizational snafu?
