I think it’s disgusting…there’s stalking laws that apply in this country and i think the full weight of the law should be brought down on this creep 😡
personally i think a return to the short drop and sudden stop for those types is needed
Moving house, it amazing how much ****e one collects without realising it

no one?
I thought that was the F-100 Super Sabre…..
F-105 as well, although i seem to recall that the engine mounts in a Thud are in the wing/fuelage centre section, not the tail section
Having witnessed the Vulcan back in the skies at the Sunderland Air Show last weekend, I was wondering if any other such projects are underway at the moment to bring a classic aircraft (military or civil) back to life?
I know Le Caravelle Club in Sweden are working on their aircraft, and I know the Qantas 707 was restored to fly back to Australia a couple of years ago (is this grounded now?)
Are there any more we can expect?
the 707 is still as far as i know kept airworthy however it hasnt flown since flying into the QANTAS museum at Longreach
It can be very litttle, infact one of the ones built at East Midlands Airport in the past the only original airframe parts was one leading edge and the data plate I believe, some indeed will come down to the data plate……….. It is very difficult to nail down an aircraft as “NEW” or rebuilt as in its service life it could and would have had wings, engines, rear ends and skins rebuilt or replaced, therefore the argument is none will be 100% original, even in Service.
However on the other Extreme Rolls-Royce’s MK19 that was built in the last years of the war has never had a major rebuild through out its life. It will have gone through overhauls etc, but taking it back to component parts and rebuilding it, it has not had that done. so is nearly original, well bar the Engne which is a hybrid based on a Shack unit with the gearing off I think a Firefly thrown in the front of it to convert it to a single prop, but looking at the wings, sometime in the past it lost its original fuel filler caps that were round for a different type.
Well said Tony
I had a small hand in the building of that car:)
IIRC its a Packard Merlin 266
its mounted in reverse to the normal mounting in an a/c, it drives a two speed Lenco gearbox through a reduction/reversing gearset.
Really – is that a technical assessment or an attempt at a humour?
speaking from expierience old chap, a ****** for maintenance but they fly well.
