I have had that book on order from Amazon.ca for about 3 weeks, looking forward to getting it.
Any other books you would recommend about the Malta blitz?
Have to stock up before the snow sets in.
Thanks again
Dave
For myself i would love to sit in the back of Mr. Greenwood’s Spitfire TE308 and photograph Spitfire MK923, but because of it not being airworthy anymore my second choice would be Mr. Potters Spitfire SL721.
Hopefully the Thunder over Michigan 2006 goes as planned and these 2 Spit’s are together with the other 5 that are planned.

Don’t think this picture was placed on this thread.

Again thank you for your help, I will be visiting with Jerry on Saturday 22 and will bring a copy of this picture for Jerry.
Thanks again
Dave
Just changed to 7 Spits
Would be great if they could get the CWHM Lancaster over their for a formation fly-by or have Mr. Russell’s 109 being chased by 7 Spits 😀
Dave
Thanks for the info, i thought it was something of that nature. Jerry didn’t get to Malta until octoberish of 1942 and he flew off HMS Furious in Camou MK V b.

Here are a few pictures of Malta Spitfires from Jerry Billing ( 185 Squ. )

I also mentioned the painting of Spitfires blue to him but he did not remember seeing any blue Spit’s in the sky’s over Malta in his time their.
Dave
Any news on if the 109 is heading to the UK?
Dave
Somewere in Ontario Canada would be nice, Maybe in formation with Mr. Russell’s 109, Spit and Hurri? or Mr. Potter’s Spit?
Just a suggestion 🙂
Dave
Mark12, would the spinner have been Yellow too?? seems i read some were that the 126squ. spinners would have been the medium sea grey.

Was at Bob Swaddlings house the other day and he has a nice collection of pictures of MK923 during D-Day
Dave
Funny this is brought up i was with Bob Swaddling the other night and he was showing me some pictures of what it might look like, as for what squadron that has not been decided, of course Bob will be helping Mr. Potter with this project. Also i talked to Mr. Potter at the Air Show and the P-40 deal is not going to go through, too bad that would have been great to see. Had a person also e-mail me about Mr. Potter buying a F4U but when i asked him he just smiled
Mr. Potter’s Spitfire will be in Windsor Ont. on the 10th,11th for the new Spitfire ,Hurricane replicas that are replacing FM212 at Jackson park.
