The video of the BF109 i am pretty happy with except for the kids in the area making lots of noise 😮 The sound from the DB 601 is just hair raising, reminds me of a Big Block Chev with a 871 blower and big ass cam at idle 😀

The great thing about planes from this era is just hearing them, the flying is just a added bonus 😮

The one P51 came in for landing and cut the power quick and had the Packard just poping madly 😀 Reminded me of Jerry Billing in MK923 everytime he would fly over my house coming in for landing in Windsor Ont. he would do that, boy i miss those days as a kid watching him tear up the sky around my house in the Spit

Opp’s were did i get ML730 from 😮 Was a late night capturing video.

Yes the commentators need to be a little quieter on the flybys but also i should have setup camp in a better location ( live and learn ) although i do enjoy Charlie Fox’s stories from the war ( I believe he was #412 Canandian Sq. Spitfire pilot)

That was too fast, Yes it was Reno 1981. Here are a few more pictures.

Jerry was flying Sl721 and Te308 at Reno that year for Mr. Woods.

After Jerry’s victory roll and landing Bob Swaddling put a tape swastika on the side of SL721 😀

I would purchase Spitfire Mk IX MK923/5JZ and slap” Jerry Billing ” on the sides ( were it use to say Cliff Robertson ) and park it here in Ontario, maybe at the Canadian Warplane Heritage Museum. If winnings were really high, i would ship it back to the UK and have her reskinned and put back to airworthy and have Bob Swaddling over see a correct paint job and find a good pilot to display her again ( If Jerry didnt want the job ).
