Interesting, indeed. It would be even more interesting to know what will become of it.

    Guess we’ll find out in 50 years…

Moslem and Christian Extremists?” Maybe, but they don’t have China’s buying power quite yet. 😎

Perhaps not- but they certainly aren’t to far off. 😉

Oh, yes- Tom Petty! Glad you remembered him! (and it’s Classic Rock not Heavy Metal were discussing so he does fit!) Also a big Steve Miller fan, and Stevie Ray Vaughn..though you couldn’t exactly call that “rock” but definetly “classic”!

Steve- I could never stand Crimson and Clover- if you can listen to it the whole way through, more than once- you have my respect. 😉

Some of my favorite Classic Rock songs include:

Harry Chapin “Cats in the Cradle”

Janis Joplin “Me and Bobby McGee”

Bill Withers “Give Me the Beat Boys”

Of Course the Beatles, Led Zeppelin and Pink Floyd will help round it out.

You might want to review Article I, Section 8 of the US Constution.

Simply stating my opinion Mr. Patterson- and if that contradicts what the constitution says- so be it.

    Merry Christmas.

Jonesy- why would we want China to have any weapons what so ever? Knowing the weapons they use inside out does not make them any less dangerous. I would hope the Pentagon would have serious objections to lifting the embargo. Just as I would have hoped they’d have objections to arming the Middle Eastern Region. Arming Asia (even with weapons of our own design and production) could have disastrous consequences- as arming the Middle East had reprecussions that will continue for years, As Ren Frew and Grey Area so helpfully pointed out (while also seemingly attempting to make the case that the US deserves everything they get since they initially were the ones who did in fact arm the Mid East.)

I suppose if the EU does lift the embargo and provide the weapons to China they can look forward to learning the same lessons we did, the same way.

Lord why would anyone want to give weapons to China? That’s a disaster just itching to happen. I imagine it comes down to money and politics- but the EU should know better. It is not time to lift the weapons embargo, I doubt it will be for a long time.

I’ll be wrapping about 25 presents, baking cookies, last minute shopping, cleaning house, and oh, yeah having a birthday party for my brother and father.

Life is, indeed, full of many joys. 😀

    Merry Christmas, everyone.

Other than the “being pleased” part, Snapper- I’m dreadfully afraid you’re right.

    Oh, don’t start quoting Kennedy.

My government is here to serve me. They have no other purpose than to keep my breathren and me safe, fat and healthy. When they start controlling my life and my freedoms or implying I should be first in line to get murdered for my country– they have overstepped their bounds. It is up to me and me alone to decide when and if I’ll serve in their military.
