Snapper was indeed a wonderful host and dinner was delicious (even the carrots) and especially the yorkshire pudding and partridge! Oh, yes the ice cream was the best I’ve ever had as well.

The Red Lion makes a great lasagna and delicious hot cocoa!

Chips were delicious! I think I tried some of Floods sausages at some point at a pub near Portsmouth, and they were good as well. Really enjoyed the Pasty we got in Chichester! Though wasn’t much for the sausage roll. Clotted cream was really good.

My last meal was great as well. With more yorkshire pudding that was completley different from (but just as good as ) Snappers.

Thanks to all the servers in the pubs and restaurants that dealt with me. Your kindness and patience was appreciated!

Thank you to Flood for not making me try Black pudding (recipe to follow shortly) or eat any sausages (though I regret that now..)

We all frequent this forum with a common interest – aviation, be it general, military, warbirds, jets, replicas, flight-sims etc.

What other interests do you fellow forumites have??

I’m currently designing a radio-controlled great white shark, and I’m also really into my creative writing, with at least two novels in various degrees of development!!

    What about everyone else?

I (obviously) did not join because of an overwhelming fondness for airplanes, but as a result of being here, and I’m sure Flood and Snapper had something to do with it too…, I find myself looking at planes in a whole new light. Identifying parts of planes and types of planes that never would have occured to me before! It’s fascinating really..and I look forward to learning more.

My interests usually lean towards photography, politics and theology, psychology, writing and I’m an avid reader. I’m also interested in animal rights and try to be active with that. (As an omnivore still, I fall quite short of where I’d like to be in that aspect though…)

I’m sick of soda, mostly. Have been looking for something else to drink.

They’re both nasty. If I drink any brown cola it’s Dr. Pepper which isn’t all that great either.

An interesting way to attempt to counterweigh the U.S. Following the dreadful result of the Presidential election there this is now a more urgent need than ever.

I agree; more stable countries around the world are needed as “superpowers” so that just one or two countries are not deciding the fate of everyone else. Canada must step up and take a bigger role, instead of just trying to get us Yanks to switch citizenship, Brazil must be allowed in and of course the EU seems to lack direction- but would be a welcome addition to the stage.

China and India would be wonderful additions; in about 30 years. They’re just not stable enough, currently.

Definetly an interesting quartet. I have to second Gnomes question. What in the world do the three share that makes this an ideal move? China and India have huge populations that live mostly in squalor and socio-economic policies that aren’t exactly human rights friendly, the Indian region isn’t exactly stable, the Chinese are struggling with Democracy, as are the Russians and neither has any great advice for the other…

The only country that should be brought into “superpower” staus is Brazil- I’ve been thinking that for awhile, they seem to have been left out in the cold- I think though it would make more sense to bring them on with the US and UK, and possibly the EU if they ever decide what exactly they’re doing….
