No offence and sympathy to people left behind, but I think people who take their lives in such a manner, are weak. πŸ™ Anna πŸ™

It’s a brain chemical problem. They are not “weak”. For gods sake.

Commiting suicide in a manner that could hurt other people is horrible, but you have to remember that by the time the person is that far down… they arent really that rational anymore.

Its not a fear and sorry for going slightly of topic but I cannot stand the touch of cotton wool it like running your fingers down a blackboard to me nasty stuff

I’m the same way, more a neuroticism than a fear- I hate silk, velvet, that cornpowder stuff, metal against metal, and metal spoons (especially old ones)

As far as “fears” I hate wasps, bees I have come to terms with and don’t run away from anymore, wasps are a different story,…:D Can’t stand roaches or crickets either….don’t run away from them..more of paralysis thing. No problem with mice, rats or snakes though. Use to snakes. πŸ˜‰

Open spaces have always been weird for me, doesn’t matter if they’re high up, I don’t like sleeping on the outside of the bed, or sitting at the far side of the table, etc, etc. Maybe It’s a protection thing? Hmmm…

Well said, Arthur. More than that it’s truth. I’m not sure what happened on Tuesday- Whether it was ignorance or fear that brought Bush his swift victory. Probably a combination of both; the people are scared of terrorists and they’re ignorant of the fact that President Bush and his administration have done more to harm our way of life and errode our freedoms than Osama Bin Laden could have ever dreamed.

I think the next four years we’ll be very interesting to watch. Ashcroft is slated to retire and I can’t see Powell continuing in his post, either. ( A shame really, such a great man, too) The world has it’s eye on Bush and may be better slated to deal with him (what that means for us I don’t know).

It doesn’t matter where you live, or how much money you make or many friends you have. Sometimes it’s a chemical thing, your brain just can’t control your emotions, instead of balancing everything out, it’s producing like mad!

You just feel that black hole inside your heart, and can’t get past all the bad things in your life.
    I’m worthless
    I’m ugly
    I’m stupid
    I’m fat
    I’m poor
    I’m unsuccessful
    I’m a let down
    I’m annoying
    I’m mean
    too much of this
    not enough of that
How can my family love me?
Arent they better off without me?
    I did this horrible thing…
    I screwed up
    I lost my job
    I lost my house
    My kids are hungry
    My spouse left me
    I am worthless
The world will be happy to see me gone

The thoughts repeat themselves in your head over and over again and each little incident just intensifies the feeling “Can’t I do anything right???!!!!

Until at some point you just get to the point where you can’t reason anymore. All you know is that you are worthless and the world will be better off when you’re dead, especially your spouse, kids, bestfriend, etc.

When your brain is working correctly, when the right amount of chemicals are being released into your Cerebrum, these feelings are balanced and controlled, when things go wrong though, you just don’t have the ability to shake it off or get over it.

Thats why people who suffer from depression, or suicidal thoughts need to see a medical doctor, so they can get treated. It will not fix all the things wrong in their lives, but it will make it so they can learn to cope and deal with things in a productive manner and move past them.

The sale of fireworks should be limited to those over 18 and things like sparklers and such. “Real” fireworks are just way to dangerous to use in residential areas, etc. Even if you are responsible there are things you can’t control, fire, explosions, etc. They’re just very volatile, etc.
