Anyone read Dan Brown’s Da Vinci Code? It’s probably the best sold book at the moment but is it really that good?
I read that a few months ago. The writing could have been better, however the content was fascinating if you arent already familiar with the story of Da Vinci etc. ( Which I mostly wasn’t) Recently finsihed Browns Angels and Demons, which again contained fascinating content ( again not being more familiar with it.) The plot line could have been better, but the book being classified as fiction, I think he made agood choice and kept a good balance.
With both stories I checked into things later and found I couldn’t find certain things he made reference to..Could just be me however.
I recommend The Da Vinci Code very highly, though. It’s a great read, and makes you think.
I just finished two Terry Pratchett novels “Maskerade” and “Witches Abroad” Both of which I thought were great. Not a lot of time latley so sticking to light fiction- right now on my desk, “Guardian” by Straub(?) ..good plot, but a bit slow going.
