I like the last one, mostly because I was on G-VLIP later that day to Barbados. 🙂 Nice work.

Great shots. Considering my relative proximity to BHX I really should get off my bum and try it out one day!

And why did he wait till the very end of the flight? Surely the biggest effect would be during cruise when the aircraft is fully pressurised and there is no hope for recovery. Depending on the magnitude of the explosive, they may have been able to recover on descent with just a chunk in the fuselage missing.

Maybe he wanted the resulting crash to be over American soil. It would have more of an effect there than over the ocean, where no trace of the plane would be seen.

Just read that Air Canada are banning passengers from moving in the cabin and from accessing their luggage within 1 hour of landing in US airspace. A very sad and worrying couple of days.

I’m nearly 20, have been driving for 2 years and have never driven in snow/ice and I’d never dream of going out in it without any training. I agree that there should be some sort of skid pan training scheme set up, and that it’s highly encouraged as part of a learner driver course.

People who come in shopping at 16:50 Christmas Eve, ten minutes before we close, always make me laugh. How sad.

Very nice photos. The last of our 23cm of snow from last Friday has been washed away today – thank goodness.
