That was definately my understanding as well
Isn’t it crewed by MAN crew and therefore based at MAN?
I don’t think so, because on a weekday of late it goes
BA2901 MAN-LGW
BA2922 LGW-ABZ
BA2923 ABZ-LGW
BA2740 LGW-GVA
BA2741 GVA-LGW
BA2912 LGW-MAN
Now that would definately exceed crew hours for a MAN based crew. I’d imagine the crew change is in between BA2923 and BA2740
Besides, loads of the BA 737s at Gatwick overnight in Europe or UK.
Excellent shots! 😀
BTW, do any of you know how many BA319s are now based at LGW??
1 at the moment – it overnights in Manchester and mainly goes between LGW and Aberdeen, manchester and Geneva and Madrid. I remember it going to Nice last year on a Thursday, and it did sometimes go to Glasgow.
It all depends though on what it does during the day, as aircraft changes are probably fairly common.
Weather was excellent actually, both yesterday and today, with it actually feeling like March today

Wow. what a surprise.
A 55 Minute turnaround must be quite tight for the 330.
Brilliant stuff Mark, but you must have been mad to do that on a day like today!
I like the Singapore 747 & Jordanian 310.
meaning that I’ve now flown on every short haul aircraft type in the British Airways fleet – A319, A320, A321, B757 and B767.[/COLOR]
They do fly the 737 as well, unless your talking about the short haul aircraft from LHR 🙂
An excellent detailed report there 😀 😀 A great read 🙂

Air Malta 737-200 9H-ABC i travelled on it in April 1993, is it still going ?
Apparantly so, flying for Atlantic Airline de Honduras as HR-ATN. After Air malta, it went to Air new Zealand, Pacific Airlines, Air Afrique, WInair and Frontier Airlines.
My Jet2 LGW-MAN took 40mins, block to block – 30 mins flying time
