a) is obvious
b) You should know that the voltages in a series circuit always total the EMF.
ie Emf= voltage across resistor + voltage across the internal resistance of cell
From V=IR, we can say:
emf = (current x resistance across resistor) + (current x internal resitance).
Then do some simple algebra to get the Internal Resitance as the subject:
Internal Resitance = Emf – (current x resistance across resistor) / current
Current = V/R, so 1.48/10 = 0.148A.
Then plug in the numbers to get r=0.338 Ohms

Just browsing through my archives and came across these. Sadly, and somewhat surprisingly, I only ever took 2 Zoom photos.

And the only ever photo I got of a Futura plane was last week in Dublin, parked up out of service:
Wow, look at the detail on the 757 shots. Wonderful. 🙂
Sound advice there (as always) from Paul.
Personally I enjoyed the tight crop of the EZY the most but even that may be a little tight. Also I’ve learnt to never cut off any part of the horizontal stabiliser on direct ‘side-on’ shots. When I started out I did this very regularly and hence the photos were rejected from photo sites like Jetphotos.net. That said I don’t think they look bad, cropped as they are.
Anyway, enjoyed looking at them and keep up the good work!
Good stuff.
The biz-jets seem to be the saving grace for Luton planespotting given the apparent domination of movements from RYR & EZY.
Very, very good. I love those approach shots with the aircraft lining-up on the approach in particular. That said, all of them are mighty fine photos.
Great post. I like the clarity in the overflight shot. I also like the Red Arrows picture. 🙂
I always thought it was the 1st November
Only for charter carriers. I think cloud_9 is right about it being the 26th.
Excellent job getting it on A.net. I’m not a fan of their site so stick to JP, but extremely well done getting hopefully the first of many on there!
I have just read the following on RyanAir’s website…. Its the final paragraph which got me….
……..
Thoughts…….:rolleyes:Rick
To be honest I expected as much from Ryanair. Is almost as bad as their ‘Closing Down Sale…for other airlines’ line – distasteful in the extreme. But we’ve come to expect strong PR from Ryanair and this is another example of that.
I am also not surprised. I would imagine that given the choice, maybe for a little more money, Heathrow is a more appealing airport than Gatwick due to it’s closer proximity to the centre of London plus also the greater range of airlines and destinations there. I imagine easyJet will snap up the vacant LGW slots.
Good catches with the Celebair and the Cubana. Great shots.
This just highlights why I gave up watching F1 last year. I have seen the incident and can’t for the life of me see why a 25 sec penalty is justified. Bizarre.
