Lovely shots. That terminal at Hong Kong looks superb. I bet it puts most of ours to shame.
Very good stuff.
Recent photo threads from LHR have made me very tempted to make my first visit to LHR on Sunday.:)
Just out of curiosity, who are MahanAir and where do they fly to/from, as I have never heard of or seen them before?
I believe they are Iranian and fly to/from Tehran.
Excellent work, Lance. Thank goodness summer is just about here.:)
I like the reg on the Learjet: D-COOL :).
Good shots!
A splendid selection of shots! 😀
Just a quick question though…? What is the object in the background of the Clickair shot? And lastly, what is the airline with the ladybird tail design, I have never heard or seen it at LGW until now?
I myself was wondering what that was in the clickair pic. I’ve come to the conclusion that it was one of those annoying little fly things – don’t think it’s a bird and it’s not dust on the sensor since no other shots had it.
The Ladybird tail design belongs to ACT Airlines, a cargo carrier, from Turkey. First time i’ve ever seen one of their planes. It stopped off for about 90 mins yesterday. Here’s another (rather poor) picture:
Are FLYBE operating the DHC8C with no markings?
All the best
Si
Indeed they are. When I heard “Jersey” callsign on the tower frequency I was almost tempted not to get ready to take the shot, but then noticed it was a Dash 8-300 :). Not sure where it was operating from, though.
Super shots, Sam. The last one is very nice!
Fab photos – love the sunset ones!
Excellent wing-view pictures! Great report. 🙂
I like the Germanwings shot – I’m looking forward to my flight with them in June :).
Nice set of kit, great set of shots! (as always)
The very last shot is spectacular. I must agree with the other posters regarding the Jet2 757 nose shot – top notch! 🙂
I think that buses 18 and 20 both go to cargo centre from Airport Bus Station. From there, I always walk back towards the main road and walk along the footpath which takes you to the lane up to AVP. There may be short-cut that the locals may know, though.
Cracking shots, Lance. 😀
