    Excellent choice for a day trip (provided the flight times are good!).

    Yes, 3 times daily with an early flight leaving at 7.30 and returning to LGW around 10pm. Intro fares £60 ret.

    Have to admit I did chuckle upon hearing of Porto’s late equaliser against Manchester United.

    Robbie – I hated coursework, thought it was a total waste of time. So glad I took no coursework based A-levels.

    Slots aren’t as big an issue out of LGW these days as they used to be, most notably because of BA downsizing quite considerably.

    I seem to remember reading the same about Plymouth on another forum. However I dont think they do anymore?

    Yes, as an example Runway 31 at Plymouth has a recommended glide path of 3.5 degrees which is practically standard. (Typical glide angle is 3 degrees. LCY’s is approx 5.5 degrees).

    Personally, I still think that’s good value for what it offers. However I can understand the disappointment in the 100% nature of the increase. It was always going to be a matter of time before it got hiked – let’s face it, most things do.

    The BBC showed footage of Air Force One about to depart from the US but didn’t say where it was going into, even though I’m pretty sure I saw a clip with STN in it. It’s probably quite understandable why they don’t definitively say where it’s going into.

    I’m guessing it’s not likely… not that particular machine anyway, since it’s a 767-400 and the type doesn’t serve Heathrow

    It does from 2nd April! (DL4 to JFK)

    Yes I quite like that livery. :). It’s definately much better than some recent new liveries that have been unveiled.

    Looks very much like a B737 of Europe Airpost.

    Good shots there. I quite like the final three ones. And I wouldn’t worry about getting a few dud photos – happens quite a lot of the time with me!

    I too hadn’t heard of them before I checked the timetable the night before. I think it was a bit of a lucky capture as IIRC it was scheduled for after 3pm, but I’m not complaining – it’s a lovely looking ‘craft.
