Impossible to tell at the moment as they could change the aircraft on the day, if they wanted to.

I think the 757s still have a role to play for many carriers, including Monarch, given their excellent fuel efficiency, but I think the 787-3 could suit them fine in the future as a replacement if they decide to go with Boeing.

It’s hardly a surprise that G-MOND is in good condition, because Monarch know that the market is competitive and that a rubbish looking aeroplane is not likely to bring back customers time after time. I’m just looking forward to my First Choice 757 flight next week and hopefully, as Tommy said, get a seat forward of the wing to hear the whine of the RB211 engines:).

Excellent shots – shame about the little dust spots on some (i’m sure you know that already 🙂 )

It is quite nice, but not as good as some other ones like US Airways & Lufthansa.

I love the last one in particular. I think, as Futurepilot does, that the 346 is more beautiful than the A380 :).

Where are those flight times taken from?

Monday to Friday, it seems that British Airways departures to Dublin are at 0625hrs, 1035hrs, 1645hrs, 1845hrs and Ryanair departures are at 0810hrs, 1140hrs, 1505hrs, 1545hrs and 1910hrs.

No, you’re looking at the wrong timetable. I’m talking about from Gatwick for the winter.

I see that Knock-Gatwick is being dropped though – not good news for that airport considering easyJet have pulled out as well. Looking at the timetables , it seems that there is an aircraft going to be at Gatwick from 1625 to 2045 with no flights to do

They’re probably going for the kill on British Airways now who also operate to Dublin from LGW, but with way higher fares.
VERY stange timings on the Gatwick-Dublin flights though. The flights leave Gatwick at 1000,1325,1730 & then 2045,2045,2055 ! In my mind they could do with an early morning one.
