Agree with you there. Lampard has had a shocking few games by his high standard, and I couldn’t help feeling that the penalty would’ve gone in for Chelsea :rolleyes: 😡

I can accept being beaten by a better team. Today, they were not the best team. i.e Who were the team who tried hardest? England.

Portugal are one of the luckiest teams about – no quality and yet always sneak through – I REALLY hope they get knocked out next time because they are no way one of the best 4 teams in the world!

Secondly, Sven has to take the majority of the blame for the disappointment of this campaign:
1. Playing Beckham – did anyone notice our improvement after he was replaced by Lennon?
2. Changing formations – playing Rooney as a lone striker was never going to work
3. Penalties – how awful were they!?

Lastly, I very much doubt Mr C Ronaldo will be playing in England next season. As Alan Shearer said on TV, Rooney may well smack him one, and I’m sure there are plenty of English fans that would want to do that to him as well:). The fact that he winked to his manager after getting Rooney sent off shows that he is a disgrace to the game.
