The Sea King flyover as the couple left the palace was brilliant and definitely a lot lower than 1000′

They look like Gondolas with the ‘handrail’ around the base…. but how old is this photo as you’ve published it in Black & White?

He’s a legend, had a chat with him back in ’98 when the Midland Air Museum took it’s Fairey Ultralight to Farnborough. Could listen to his knowledge for weeks…. 😀

Isn’t it something to do with joining the club so being a member you’re not Joe Public etc?

No copyright infringment intended here, but here’s the enhanced close-up I did briefly…. To be honest it sure looks like an 8 to me, not a 9 – which is where the confusion lies in my original post…. Beats me what’s going in with this serial number :confused:

Would your slide by any chance be this one that was on ebay?

Gets confusing when doing searches for this serial – as I found THIS on Flickr which when enhanced on m pc does show as XX282, but apparently in 2009? :confused:
According the other records at UK Serials, it was destroyed in 2000!

I have spent the evening knocking up a youtube slideshow thingy to try and entice any new volunteers for the events…. I have sourced the included photos from all over the web, and no copyright infringment is intended – as it’s purely a recruiting tool and I never get the time to take my own shots…. although I do enjoy seeing the results of others when posted of course 😀
