    Thanks everyone for the info which is of great use and as for the photo’s I shall pop onto the website and get those snapped up, and if hunterxf382 could pm me those details that would be brill. Its always good to know people like what your trying to do as the scrap it jokes do wear thin after a while haha. oh and freebird those squadron markings are very nice indeed thanks and a strong contender

    Its G reg and pretty sure after looking today that I will need the nose leg fork at the very least as the 5.00×5 is a tight fit!!

    Yeah its going to be a steep learning curve but at least the only person I have to please is myself:). The camera is of excellent cond and price seems fair just hope I can get to grips with it? How hard can it be:confused:

    Thanks John, not come across that website before but cheque book poised for action at so many toys:D. Mark thanks for that info but would the larger tires fit in that nose leg?? I dont have spats fitted and never seen them on a tommy??? Is there an STC on those tires or is it on the TCDS and ive missed it?

    As I say no worries at all and if you wanna come along anytime as we working on it to get better shots let me know and we can arrange something, As for the other hunter its not my place to say but its not far from scampton and will be displayed soon when the owners have tidied it up a bit

    Im not going to get bent out of shape about it but could you please remember the hunter is on private land and clearly marked no entry. As you are keen in aviation its no worries but the aircraft is in an unsafe state at the minute.

    Thanks for takin the trouble to try and find me, I have left you a PM on both sites with some contact info and hope we can work something out and meet for a pint maybe as local myself?? Thank you everyone else for helping too as any information and leads as to finding spares for Xl578 is always of very great interest

    Thanks for the comments on the topic, I fully understand a replica! and FSM to a point but it struck me as odd to see historic machines outside to rot while people were stood round looking at an FSM which any good model maker could create in his garage.
