Sorry if it’s a little off topic and is not quite the real thing, but at the weekend I was sorting through the balsa models my late father made (but mostly never completed) which included the Sparrowjet.

Thanks for that! I only saw specks in the distance, but my 9yr old saw them. This afternoon he told me he saw Chipmunks yesterday – now I understand!
Three aircraft did a formation fly past at 1.30 on Friday afternoon – just wondering if anyone was there who could say what they were? I always pick the wrong time to go in the hangars!
Hadn’t been for a couple of years, but an enjoyable day out as ever on 13th April.
The Mew Gull was having engine runs, while a steady stream of visitors flew in and out. Cessna taildraggers seemed to be the order of the day!

Just stumbled back on this thread and want to say thanks to G-ORDY for the photo of Magister G-AKPF at the 1973 Duxford show. That’s exactly how i remember it on the day and for a large chunk of my childhood. For the record, the EAAS attempted restoration took place in a large shed in a back garden in Steeple Morden, not Bassingbourn, for much of the 1970s.
Willip26 – all I can say is lucky you!!!

A belated few from a quiet Thursday last week.
