Thank you all for the nice comments. Yes, the glider on the first picture is a Schleicher K4 Rhönlerche II. I had never flown this type. Last year I got the chance to fly it in exchange for a couple of pictures.
Happy new year everybody.
Thanks again for posting excellent pictures of the progress of maintenance and restoration projects at Duxford.
How long has this wreck been on the beach before it was removed?
Hello Vin1,
Welcome to the forum. Given the markings on the fin I expect this is an older mark of Spit. There will definately some people over here with more info.
Fifi Kate in happier times (Arnhem commemorations 2004) doing a great job:

Great pictures for the wintermonths of next years calender.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year everybody.

That was the only thing apart from Novosibirsk that I was able to understand from the Russian commentary. Nice aircraft. Great video.
A lot of the registered aircraft are gliders, so it would be nice to see them represented in museums in decent numbers. For museums it’s an easy (and cheap?) way to extend their collection. The Aviodrome museum at Lelystad and the Brussels Air Museum have several on display.
