Wow, that’s an interesting story. And welcome to the forum.
have you spoken to mbb about looking for other stuff before he buries it under tons of concrete
Yes, why not dig a little longer and find the rest of the aircraft as well?
The B-25 is part of the Royal Netherlands Air Force Historical Flight, which has a website here: http://www.skhv.nl Last time I checked it was all in Dutch, but you should be able to find an e-mail address on there.
Actually, I’ve just checked and the website seems to be down.
Website is not down and text is Dutch and English. E-mail: office@skhv.nl
Despite the grey sky, some good pictures there.
Events like these make you appreciate the C47 more and more.
I can understand that the reenactors would have loved to see 1944’s aircraft only. Who wouldn’t? If accuracy of the displays is that important, the reenactors should have looked a bit more tired, dirty and desparate too.
What would the outcome of Market Garden have been, if the allies had operated Sabres by then?
Yes great shots. Must have been an interesting event and blessed with good weather.
It’s not complete……….
Is that 5MB in total or per image?
I guess it’s per image. You can also send pictures to BBMF by e-mail. Then the max. size is 2 MB.
Wow. I was happy with the pictures that I took myself at this airshow, but this is a different level.
Excellent pictures again. Extremely sharp. Very good!! I would not have chosen B/W for Miss Demeanour though.
I wonder what kind of cover there is over the instrument panel of the Seafire. If it hadn’t been there, we would have been able to read the instruments.
Thanks for the information. I always the centre focus point only for this kind of pictures. Cracking shot of the Sea Vixen. One last question: do/did you use a tripod?
Loverly pics there G-CVIX ,
the B/W with the Buchon passing WW2 dressed troops is great , but my fave has to be the spirals surrounding the Hurricane , how d’ya do that ?
The aircraft must be moving , obviously , so a panning shot , but why isn’t the rest of it not blurred , was it luck or timing or did you adjust the shutter speed or somthing else .
What a contrast with weather , you had glorious sun and we had all day mist at LG .spike
Great pics indeed!! Well done. I’m also curious to hear how you make those spirals. They seem to be visible on the second B-25 shot as well.
The first B-25 shot is taken on a very slow shutter speed, but still is as sharp as a …… very sharp. I never managed to get this level of sharpness in my pictures of this particular aircraft, even at 1/400 sec with my IS-lens. Could you unveil this secret as well?
Yes great pictures. All the pilots seem to keep an eye on you. Did you use a red light on top of your lens?
Well done. One millisecond later and the picture was complete rubbish:D
Well in view of having received only two comments, I can only conclude that my pics are c–p.
Martin:)
The majority of threads in the Airshow Photos section of this forum produce at maximum 2 reply’s. Pictures are great as always. Love MK356 in it’s new paintscheme.
