Looked like a great event and well photographed. I wish the Lanc had made a pass like that at Dunsfold

Thank you. You might be interested to see the full frame of the first shot

How ‘small’ is your lens? The results look pretty good to me.
‘It ain’t what you got – it ‘s the way that you use it’
Love the Lightning shot – most dramatic

a few more
Swordfish

P40B
Spitfire

Yak 12M

finally the Lancaster did provide something of a topside shot
John
I agree with your sentiments. It’s very easy to take these shows for granted.
As to the show did Snafu do a different routine on Sunday which enabled you to get your topside shots?
You must have been very close to me on Saturday as couple of your shots, particularly the Lancaster, were almost the same as mine.
Glad you thought the trip was worthwhile. I merely had to come from Sussex and didn’t think that the weather forecast justified a second trip on Sunday.

Cracking shots!
I was quite pleased with my shot of the Harvards until I saw yours…
We must have pressed the shutter at the same instant
John
A few more. Not the greatest shots but may be of interest as they have not appeared yet.
The Rapide takes off
A formation of ‘oldies’
3 Spitfires
The Red Bull pair did a formation tailslide
and came out of it together!

As well as the content you should consider getting in and out of the show.
RIAT is a nightmare and Waddington, to which I went for the first time this year,
was pretty awful.
Nobody so far has suggested Kemble. There is usually a good mixture, including the Red Arrows, the sun is not in your eyes and it is closer to Cornwall than most.
John
Only thing wrong with those is that I wish I had taken them!

The airshow dates are on my calendar – with pictures

I was able to open and read it from the link in the post which takes you to the AIB website and then via another link to the report.

The only time I visited Helsinki was over 20 years ago and was using an OM 2 in temperatures of -14. The camera was fine but the problem was handling it.
If you wore gloves thick enough to be useful it was difficult to operate the camera. I took off my gloves long enough to take a picture and found my fingers refusing to operate!
Regarding the museum, again this is 20 years out of date, but it is well worth a visit.

I liked the F16 with condensation – I missed that one.
Was that you taking pictures from just behind the press enclosure at the M11 end?
John
a few more that haven’t appeared yet
