I swear this airline just pull city names out of a hat and operate flights between them.
A bit like a certain loco with a harp on the tail!
Further update, apparently Inverness airport are talking to at least two operators with a view to replacing the Easyjet operation – would guess that would include Loganair and/or Eastern, both of whom already operate out of INV whereas Flybe currently don’t – will be interesting to see what happens.
[QUOTE=EK.]Still waiting on GLA-DUB with FR. Glasgow International must be the only major airport in the UK with no Ryanair flights.
What about Belfast? – please God they stay away!!
And it gets worse!!

What’s hijacking about that? He was just pointing out the fact you could still fly to Belfast, into the international airport from Bristol.
Please don’t bring your arguments from Pprune into here…
The point I was trying to make was that I am well aware that one can fly from BFS to BRS and did not need reminding especially by EW – as far as PPrune is concerned, I have not used or even looked at it for at least six months so the accusation that I am bringing arguments from there is totally unfounded!
Don’t worry old bean…you can STILL fly to BRS from BFS with Easyjet. 😀
Thankfully, I’m not that desperate!! Anyway, I was talking about BHD not BFS – yet another thread hijacked by your good self!
BHD – CWL (promised by RE & 6G but never happened, WW from BFS hopeless)
BHD – PIK
BHD – LCY (VLM or Eastern)
BHD – AMS (possibly BE)
Welcome Colin – good to see another local join the clan, the more the merrier!
I think they ll struggle to fill a Dash 8 to BHD, cant see this route being viable but time will tell.
As with all routes, yield is what matters not necessarily loads. Also, Flybe seem to have released their winter schedules for all BHD routes apart from BRS – could it be this one will get the axe as now only one rotation per day?
Good to see Flybe expansion from BHD after a relatively lean period for new routes from there – I thought RE would have operated the GWY – too late for them now.
The first of the 195s should be in service by then so possibly they will be used – actually registered now as G-FBEA, EB etc – the Astraeus 737s are on lease until autumn 06
Belfast wont last too long as in competiton with Jet2.
That is unless its from BHD – always possible!
Saw it at BHD last night – not sure whether I like it or not – would imagine it will look quite scruffy after a while once the elements take their toll!
I believe that no flights for any UK operator are officially for sale after 28th October.
Air Berlins’ flights are bookable now for up to the end of March 07 including their UK internal ops.
Having a local interest, I would suspect that the smaller airports may well be the primary ones for sell off – if I am right, then (George Best) Belfast City could well be near the top of the list. Ferrovial are bound to be becoming totally fed up at the opposition to any expansion there (thanks in no small part to BFS) and may well decide to cut their losses and offload it – I sincerely hope this does not happen but I wouldn’t be surprised if it did!
