Great link to the Sunday Mercury item..thanks. And for the list of planes.
I’ll contact the Mercury and B’ham Libraries to see what further info they might have.

thanks for the updates. I googled Minworth Metals and found a post on another forum (PPRuNe) from 2 years ago asking for info/photos on the yard but there haven’t been any replies!
All the planes had disappeared by the end of the 50s – when I had my first bike in the 60s and started riding round the area, there was no sign of anything left. The area is now the Maybrook Trading Estate.
