Our’s hasn’t had a problem.
The combination of German technology and British workmanship seems to be working.
To all of you anti-Bush people….
Get over it!
Here’s a news flash for you…America isn’t Europe or Canada, so don’t exect the all Americans to share your views.
If you don’t like the way the majority of Americans voted, fair enough, but keep your insults to yourself.
Another hint: Don’t carry any Cat Stevens CDs. 🙂
Look at the bright side…if half the world hates the US, the other half doesn’t! 🙂
As for French, on this site the Americans are attacked for supposedly saying the French are wimps, then you tell us the French hate the USA.
You condem the US for not liking the French while admitting the French hate us. It seems you wnt it both ways.
And don’t take the American jokes about the French too seroiusly…most, if not all of them, are just jokes. And comming from the country that pioneered French jokes (remember “‘allo, ‘allo”) The Brits should be on the American side here.
And remember your history, the English have had more wars with France than the US has. :diablo:
Thats ok – I’m sure you
Do I know who I am? Think I do. Do you know who I am? Don’t think so. Does it matter who we are? Not really. Does it matter that I think that I see another Vietnam being forged in Iraq? Hmm.Flood
A tad touchy tonight? Not to mention a bit paranoid.
To paraphrase the song…You probably think this post is about you.
And No, Americans aren’t as stupid as you believe them to be, they know who flew into the World Trade Center Buildings, the Pentagon and the Pennsylvania field. Tonight’s election shows that a lot of America agreed with Mr. Kerry.
My post simply agreed with the French poll that said the UK harboured more Anti-US sentiment than France. And you respond by calling Americans stupid. Since you are English I think you just proved my point.
Le Monde’s new poll show French are two times more favourable of the US than Brits. First polls close at 1900 Eastern time.
I’m beginning to believe it after reading some of the obnoxious posts from America’s “special friends” the Brits.
Spend any amount of time looking at posts in this category (and a few in Historic aviation as well) and you’ll see certain people (you know who you are) always with the knickers in a twist over something America did, does, or didn’t do.
I’m beginning to think a lot of Brits have a case of envy…as well as a need to knock anything that isn’t UK centric.
Quite frankly I’m surprised to see it from a bunch of aviation buffs.
Some people seem to have the need to make todays events the political equivalent of the old which is better the Mustang or Spitfire debate and who are still pi**ed that Boeing took over the airliner market after the Comet I disasters.
How about Connie Edwards? He flew a lot during the filming of “BoB”. If he doesn’t have the most hours in a 109, he certainly gets my nod for owning the most.
PS. I met him awhile back when he stopped in Abilene for avionics work on his Albatross. A very nice guy.
200s still around?
I would have thought the 200s were in the boneyard, victims of EU noise/pollution standards and rising fuel prices.
I haven’t seen one in a long time.
You are right. Except for the die-hard Democrats (the pathological Bush-haters,the leftover 60’s peaceniks, the greens, and the trial lawyers…not to mention Mikey Moore) even the people who are voting for him seem to be doing it half heartedly.
007 won’t be amused!
With one for sale on eBay at a resonable figure, just think the bad guy in “Thunderball” wouldn’t of had to steal one. I assume it doesn’t come armed. But I’m sure any buyer could make a deal with Iran or North Korea. 😎
