Looks very much like this type if clip from one angle.
but if made of copper I doubt the strength of the clip would be strong enough and become loose
AMMO CLIP .303![]()
It looks far to heavy duty for aircraft lamp, I would go with a bench lamp.
I have one of Baders artificial legs, got a bit of woodworm in it though,:p
Jim.

Hi Steve, I wish you a speedy recovery and you back hard at it again very soon.
I would say sleep with the SPADE, as you need that before you get the grip.

In the runway/art deco control tower shot, does it not look like a london underground sign on the hangar to the right? or is it Canary Wharf station ? brilliant how they got rid of the buildings and used London City’s runway !
Stunning.
LOVE THE FULL SCALE MODEL. for a momment I thought it was a pilatus P2 converted.
Dont you also have in your collection a genuine spitfire spent .303 shell bullet out of Baders spitfire?:diablo:
SHHHHHHHHHHHHhhhhhhhhh
I have a lovely Merlin crankshaft, It was taken out of Douglas Bader’s Spitfire before his last combat mission, I know its genuine as I bought it from an Englishman at Duxford.
Now hmmm ,,, what happened on that last flight? :diablo:
Very sad indeed,
Thoughts go out
3 x not sure what, Turbulents ?, in formation turning east just just east of Boreham disused.
read the zeke for sale ad in my previous post again “3 bladed prop”
Hi A2N. I was replying to Davids question #19
Yes three blader with the bigger 800 horse geared prop
Does it still sound like a Harvard? I thought the replicas used the geared R-1340 as fitted in a Otter so it could turn a three bladed propeller .
It did not sound the same as the Harvard
Just found this. I will take down if the account holder wishes
I remember Anthony Hutton imported one to North Weald I think around 1990.
Flown by Anthony, Dave Southwood, Gary Numan and the name escapes me but the CO Lancaster pilot of the time.
It departed to New Zealand in the mid to late 90s.
I am sure others will be aong shortly with more in depth gen as old age creeping on now.
